This or something better

Do we know how to ASK?

Do we know how to RECEIVE?

Do we know how to GIVE?

Do we know how to trust our INSTINCTS?

Are we flexible?

Are we able to discern what we receive as something we SHOULD have instead of what we want?

“We, as human beings, (seem to) know best when it comes to fulfilling our goals and desires. The Light force of the Creator (The Universe) knows best when it comes to fulfilling our needs and what is truly best for us. Today, look at your goals and detach yourself from the outcome. Know that while this is what you want, it may not be what you need. And with that consciousness, you can achieve what you want in a way that goes far beyond any possible expectations.” The Daily Kabbalah

Knowing what we want and knowing HOW to achieve our goals and desires is not the same thing. When we take action we come closer to our goals and desires by signaling the Universe that we are open to receiving. The Universe is there to GIVE us what we ask for. It is important that we KNOW this and BELIEVE this so that we get in to THE HABIT of ASKING for the right things for us.

The quote raises an interesting lesson. Sometimes we THINK we know what we want, work and strive for that goal by TAKING ACTION (ASKING) and we get something else; something better :-) It may not be apparent at the moment that we receive the gift, however once we ACCEPT the gift and use it to Help other people Live their Dreams we begin to see that the gift IS actually the “something better”.

Robert Frost , American Poet wrote an American classic, The Road Not Taken. Belief in our own instincts and belief in the Universe brings us to a crossroads many times over on our personal journey. Robert Frost discovered the secret in the last stanza :-) The lesson? TAKE ACTION! Be open to Receive! Be flexible! TRUST YOUR INSTINCT!

The Road Not Taken (Click for audio)

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
