Perception, Gratitude and Dancing in the Rain :-)

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain.

Wow! How many of us miss all the good stuff that COULD BE because we just don’t know how to appreciate and live in Gratitude?

Yesterday I woke up and on my way to the stairway I found my English Siamese Pussy Cat, Sweet Pea who had decided to stretch out and take a nap, right at the foot of the stairs. Sweet Pea is the same color as my carpet and I didn’t see her! Ooops! I suddenly felt her fur on the bottom of my foot as a quickly withdrew it and broke my toe in the misstep! Ouch

Living in Gratitude means finding the good or positive things in an event or situation.

If I had stepped on Sweet Pea she could have been critically hurt. Splat! I could have lost My balance and tumbled down the stairwell and broken an arm, leg or worse!

Yesterday was a wonderful day! I did not squish the cat, nor did I break a leg! I am sporting a rainbow toe that is
the most beautiful color of raspberry magenta I’ve seen in years. It is a great conversation piece……….. especially for me, a Network Marketer.

Now I am not suggesting that you go and break a toe to start conversations J And, beware of kitties lazing underfoot. The lesson is, however, that I am ever grateful for NOT hurting myself and for my colorful toe which introduced me to several wonderful People yesterday!

Living in Gratitude means perceiving or seeing things differently!

13 years ago I met an old friend, her daughter and husband in New Orleans. I had just moved to Texas from New Jersey, where my friends were still living and it was a reunion of sorts. Two wonderful things happened on that trip!

I wore a lovely summer straw hat on the plane and it seems, other people thought so too as it became a conversation piece allowing me to meet a few great folks, several of whom are STILL my friends. But, when my friends met me at the airport, my dear friend exclaimed, “Oh, it’s just like you to wear a hat and draw attention to yourself”. Negative energy and perception go hand and hand, my friends.

Be aware, be awake and always listen to the Universe!

The second lesson appeared as we were on Bourbon Street going through the Art Galleries and Shops. Suddenly the skies opened up and there was a DELUGE of rain. It rained in torrents for about 15 minutes greeting the already sultry, steamy atmosphere with more of the same.

Make yummy Lemonade, or is this a lesson on Perception?

My friend, bless her, was “upset” about the rain and exclaimed that it was ruining HER day.
Me? I put my straw hat on her husband’s head for safe keeping, ripped off my sandals, lifted my skirts and ran out into the gutters splashing into the torrent of water rushing down the street.

A funny thing happened
in that that moment. People started emerging out of the shops. After watching me for a minute or two, some of them actually joined me in a “gutter splash”, giggling and laughing to THEIR hearts content! LITERALLY, we were dancing in the rain! I even lifted my head and opened my mouth to TASTE the rain!

When was the last time you tasted the rain?

My friends, “Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; It's about learning to dance in the rain.” **

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about what you do DURING the
Storm that counts!

Remember, you ALREADY ARE everything you want to be, just Take Action and invoke the Law of Intention and her sister, The Law of Attraction will bring you where you want to be!

Go ahead, DANCE in the rain and check this short video out to put a smile on your face!

Thanks to my friend Donna Jean from
Thoughts for the Day for sending this poignant reminder to us all!

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
