Would you sponsor Snow White?

When we pre-judge others we limit our expectations of them, and they will give us exactly what we expect of them so make sure that you impart your support and trust to your organization.

A friend of mine watches Snow White with her little girl every morning. It occurred to me what a wonderful role model Snow White really is. She took a motley band of misfits, (Grumpy, Sleepy, Dopey, Sleepy, Doc, Sneezy, and Happy) and gave them direction, encouragement and kindness. She took the time to get each and every one of them, learned their foibles AND their talents, and empowered each and every one of them! She created a successful TEAM that worked together to achieve their own individual goals AND a team goal!

Why would I sponsor Snow White? She is the quintessential Role Model of a Leader AND Compassionate Marketer! She is selfless, sees the best in people, and has high aspirations for them, even before they believe in themselves!

Snow White took the time to get to know each one of them and developed a special relationship with each of them. They each learned that they could trust Snow White, and count on her to be there for them. They grew into a successful band of men who functioned as a TEAM and could thus help others attain their goals and dreams. Their devotion to Snow White was unswirving and focused because she gave each of them a feeling of self worth and accomplishment. This unlikely team of seven KNEW that they could accomplish anything they wanted, if they worked together. Snow White taught them the effectiveness of teamwork!

~~~~What are you doing for your organization?
~~~~What expectations and tools are you delivering to your team to guide them and encourage them?

~~~~What are you doing to instill a sense of self worth and accomplishment for your team mates?
The month of August draws to a close and we are all looking forward to the rebirth of another month!
Who's Renting Space in YOUR Brain?
".....As we get older we let others take over some of our Psycho-Emotional turf; we let the ghosties move in and cripple us emotionally!"
Who's Renting Space in YOUR Brain and How to Reclaim It! is dedicated to all those who have followed what they were TOLD TO DO, haunted and daunted by those little voices (THEIR ghosties) who pop up at the most inopportune times and sabatoge them, and to all those who, despite all their personal development, reading and listening to CD's, visits to shrinks and debilitating self esteem have never found the KEY to banishing their ghosties.
Who's Renting Space in YOUR Brain and How to Reclaim It! has been gathering rave reviews from CEO and Publisher George Madiou of TheNetworkMarketingMagazine.com, Industry Leaders like Xango Legend Sandi Cohen, and readers just like you!
Sue Rissel of Pennsylvania has said, "Just finished reading "Who's Renting Space in Your Brain and How to Reclaim it" by RS Mallory. She's quite the talent at getting to the root of the problem, and I'm sure this book will give you as much of an eye-opener as it did me. I have a lot of "ghosties" to let go of. There are bonuses, too! Definitely worth the time to read!!! Just had an "aha" moment regarding friendships.... bumped into this wall a few times (so I've been told) and with little energy to think or even care I realized a few things about some people. It's amazing what clearing the mind of 'ghosties' can do!
Read more testimonies and learn more about Who's Renting Space in YOUR Brain and How to Reclaim It! by visiting
This is the first of a monthly series of Ebooks, conference call and webcasts and a host of resources to help you Banish YOUR ghosties for good!
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
Imperative Actions for A New Year
2010 is almost here! That means
~~reflecting on this past year; what worked and what didn't work
~~looking forward and leaving the past in the past
~~practicing Gratitude for all that we accomplished and for that which we have the ability to accomplish in 2010.
~~Be sure to write down your Personal and Business goals for the New Year.
~~Make an appointment with your sponsor to discuss a personal plan of action for you in the new year.
~~ Take Action
This sends a message to the Universe using The Laws of Intention and Attraction and puts them on notice that you will be Taking Action and request their assistance.
For those of you less esoteric, the ACTION of writing down your goals makes a kinetic connection with your subconscious, allowing you to move forward on your Journey to Success in the coming New Year.
Compassionate Marketers know the importance of expressessing gratitude for what you already have, and what you will be working to achieve.
Blessings of Abundance, Prosperity Joy and Laughter to you all for a healthy 2010.
How to attain your goals? Write it down, write it down!
Did you know that 95% of aspiring Network Marketers are not only new but part time marketers who seek to improve their lives; many times by just a few hundred dollars a week? A lucrative and effective compensation plan MUST PROVIDE for these part timers, thus creating an extraordinary place for Leaders (like you and I) who strive to not only live our dreams but to help others attain THEIR goals and dreams!
Being a Compassionate Marketer means that your contributions as a leader will be beneficial to all those whom you touch.
How can we learn to understand and motivate other networkers in our group?
Monday evening my personal business group discussed the importance of defining “Your 25 Reasons” and why it is important for you to WRITE THEM DOWN. As you may know, virtually ALL the "Captains of Industry" in our society to date have one thing in common; they ALL write down their goals. Doing so builds a STRONG kinetic bond between your heart and your brain and it also sends a message out to the Universe that you have INTENTION. The Universe always pays attention!
Your 25 reasons need to be STRONG enough to MOTIVATE you so that NOTHING stands in the way of your goals! Be sure that you KEEP this in your thoughts at all times.
Here is how it works:
1--Your goals should motivate you so strongly that you should be able to say, "If I don't get to (your goal, let's say the next level in your company) by (date) then I will give up........ (define what you will give up)
2--The thing you give up should be VERY important to you, like giving up your season's tickets to sport events (maybe The Yankees games) or selling your beloved 1967 Vintage Barracuda! The whole idea is that you would NEVER give those things up, so your motivation will KEEP you going until you reach your goal so you do NOT have to give them up! You are thus PUTTING VALUE to that which you want to attain and your goals suddenly become INTENSIFIED!
Example, Let's say I wanted to lose 30 lbs and could never do it before. Now I am on “the cookie diet” but don't really stick to it. If I promise that I will lose the weight OR I will have to give away my precious Sweet Pea (my beloved English Siamese pussy cat) then I KNOW that I will stick to the cookie diet and lose the weight. Can you see that?
Your assignment for this week, if you choose to accept it (Mission POSSIBLE) is to write (or re-write) your 25 Reasons for Being a (Your next in Level) in 2008.
This is NOT an easy assignment, my friend. Take a few days and noodle around what reasons will really motivate you enough to energize you to TAKE ACTION for the long term. The Slight Edge (By Jeff Olson) will get you there IF you are motivated and take action:-)
If you wish, you may submit YOUR 25 Reasons to me. BE SURE you TAKE ACTION by printing them out and placing them ALL over your home and office, review them several times a day, and SAY THEM OUT LOUD! my25reasons@CompassionateMarketing.com Please include your phone number, name and email address and I will contact you for a free consultation.
Questions? Please feel free to call or write. Thank you for being such an important part of Compassionate Marketing. Your contributions, comments and your friendship are a blessing to me!
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to yourdoor.
Jumpstarting your Network Marketing Business in September
Even though ""The summer slowdown"" is a myth in Network Marketing, many people take advantage of summer to travel or spend time with family and friends. Whew! The kids are (almost) all back to school, and it's time to take a deep breath and regroup. It's time to jumpstart YOUR Network Marketing Business!
September is here and is a time to reactivate your prospecting efforts as well as contacting your leaders, customers and old prospects.
First things first!
1- Clear your workspace! Open up the door to your office (or workspace), dust, clean off yours desk, and organize your files.
2- Redo and reaffirm your short term and long term goals. Write them down and visit them daily.
3- Sit down with your family and brainstorm about the hours you will be working, and why this will value add to their lives. When you have the cooperation of your spouse and children and they are invested in your activities, you eliminate unwanted stress.
4- Set up & resume your Daily Personal Growth program, whether it be listening to CD's or reading a book; 15 minutes each morning and 15 minutes before you retire at night. Meditate or exercise at least 15 minutes a day to improve your focus.
5- Review the new contacts you made during the summer and include them in a prospect, business or customer list. Do NOT pre-judge anyone.
6- Revisit the "tools" that you are using to build your business; autosponders, email messages, other programs, phone systems (for better rates), etc.
7- Call your company or upline to find out about any new products and information that you may have missed. Learn about the new products and plug into trainings and plan to attend company events.
8-Contact your sponsor and let them know what your new goals are and enlist them in your efforts. If they are not available, go upline until you find someone willing to assist you. These days, Compassionate Marketers find themselves part of proactive teams with many different leaders available to anyone who might need assistance. Find out who is available on your team and contact them.
9- Find a workout buddy who WILL be available to you on a daily basis. Your Workout Buddy will motivate you and keep you on course. They can provide you with that essential "accountability factor" that many of us need to stay focused. You can set up friendly ""challenges"" or mini contests between you... a friendly race to the finish line (a particular goal) is always invigorating and invites focus and energy.
Remember that the economy is providing us with a plethora of potential business partners who are looking for a way to extend their income or define and work their "Plan B". Keep yourself open to visiting with new summer acquaintences AND set up a plan to REVISIT with old customers and prospects alike!
Ready, Set............jump right in and remember WHY you love what you do. Remind yourself of the advantages you can give your family, the lives you might change, and the gratitude we experience that is so inherent in being a successful network marketer!
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
The Keys to your Success
Your dreams are your own. Nobody else has YOUR specific goals and dreams.
YOU hold the key to your own success in manifesting your dreams and goals.
How do you DO that? (DO is an action word)
1- ACKNOWLEDGE your goals and dreams
2- Allow them free reign in your heart, soul, brain, subconscious AND Conscious thoughts
3- Write down your goals and dreams and post them all over (your work area, living space, car etc)
4- DO 15-30 minutes of personal development EVERY DAY (tapes, cds, books, meditation, affirmations
5- Remember that your dreams belong to YOU and only you. Be Audacious, bold and daring and be prepared to step OUT of your comfort zone to move forward every day towards your dreams and goals.
6- BE single minded and FOCUSED on your dreams and goals; do not let any one dissuade you or tarnish your dream. COVET YOUR DREAMS and KNOW that they are already yours. It is your job to attract them to you.
Remember that it is the Journey that counts and once you attain your goals and dreams you will give birth to another and another. PAY ATTENTION to the little things that occur daily. THEY are the stuff that dreams are made of :-)
7- Practice The Slight Edge. Take baby steps, every single day.
Contact me for a free Slight Edge Chart and be sure and read The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson.
Remember, whatever you want to be you ALREADY ARE.
Look inside yourself and BELIEVE.
When you take action you invite the Universe to orchestrate things, people and events that will bring your dreams and goals to you. BE KIND TO YOURSELF and others; BE a Compassionate Marketer.
Practicing Abundance, Prosperity & Kindness EVERY DAY,
Conviction, Committment and Believing in yourself 1000%
I recently read my friend Richard Brookes' article, The Light House in The Network Marketing Magazine and was struck by the simplicity and power of the message.
Are you committed, really committed to your endeavor? Read Richards' article and then take a personal measure of YOUR conviction (and commitment).
You know, we have to believe in what we are doing, and how we are doing it, so deeply that we are at total peace with our choices. Our success depends on, and is directly related to the reason people are "at home" or "not at home" in their chosen company. If you have a deep abiding CONVICTION and COMMITMENT, then your success will follow.
Your 1000% conviction and committment means that you are unwaivering..... NOTHING will steal your focus or get in your way of your goals.
The Laws of Intention, Attraction and Reciprocity are hardwired to YOU and activated by how you FEEL about your endeavor; how you feel about your decisions, your Passions, your "raison d etre (your motivation or your WHY). When you are deeply committed and focused, these 3 sister Laws Take Action on your behalf to aid you on your journey towards Success.
When you select a company to represent, make sure that YOUR passion(s) are reflected in their products, philosophy and business practices. Remaining true to yourself, your values and your Integrity is an imperative. Integrity is sometimes only a whisper, but if you are able to LISTEN and FEEL her inside of you then your choices will be the right ones for you!
Make sure that, like Richards' Light House, you are implacable and can give your focus, attention and conviction to the journey you are embarking on. Remember, your ability to believe in yourself AND the company empowers you to stay the course and maintain the Journey towards your Success.
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
Synchronicity vs Coincidence
Did you know that there is NO such thing as coincidence?
Websters defines coincidence as "a striking occurrence of two or more events at one time apparently by mere chance".
In our study of of The Universal Laws of Intention, Attraction, and Reciprocity we know that there ARE NO such activities or meetings of coincidence. Rather, they are synchronistic..... they are circumstances (opportunities) that are given to us by The Universe. We are able to exercise our fee choice to either ACCEPT or discard these opportunities as we wish.
Because I work at home, I go to the local coffee house several times a week armed with my laptop and cell phone. Incredibly, there are more than a few "local denizen" who are also working at home who call the local coffee house "office away from home" just like me. We have become an informal local networking group, referring each other to those who drop in once in a great while, sharing information, knowledge and resources.
It is not coincidence that brought us all together. Our (personal) energies interacted synchronistically to create a strong bond between us. When you are "transmitting" your energy through The Universe, it is picked up by, and attracts other like minded people.
Synchronicity is at work with her cousin, The Law of Attraction.
This day blessed me with an introduction to an interesting gentleman who came to the coffee house to wait for a client. We sat adjacent to each other and a conversation ensued. It is really easy to start a conversation if you want to. If you are observant and open to the energy around you, you will understand there is no such thing as coincidence!
This gentleman was working on his laptop and he was referring to his Daily Planner which he had placed on a shared table. I remarked on his use of such a seemingly "outdated" tool in this day of electronics and we discovered that he is a speaker/trainer (like me) and, teaches and helps people publish their books**. We discovered that we work in a similar arena and immediately discovered that we enjoy travelling, teaching and have a shared background. Since I am working on my first book, I recognised that The Universe was gifting me with a very special resource that I might tap into in the near future.
Coincidence or Synchronicity?
Those of us who walk in tune with The Universe understand the difference! Meeting this lovely fellow was a Gift from The Universe. If I had NOT started a conversation, the Opportunity to get to know someone with whom I might network with would be lost! The knowledge that he may impart to me would be lost. Synchronicity is always working, we just have to acknowledge her and Participate by Taking Action!
Are you letting synchronicity work for you?
Expanding your Perception
Is the glass REALLY half full or is it really half empty?
I remember my Dad asking me this questions when I was a child. I thought it was a "magic" question and labored to come up with the correct response!
What about you?
This is really an age old philosophical question that was used to measure a child's deductive or inductive reasoning skills. It also measures a persons' PERCEPTION!
Deductive Reasoning allows us to grasp (and SEE) the WHOLE picture and then to understand and break down and pick out the bits and pieces that make it up. Those who can solve a Geometry theorem are good at Deductive Reasoning. Deductive Reasoning works backwards like a jigsaw puzzle or a Crossword puzzle. Both puzzles give you the big picture and ask you to figure out the details.
Inductive Reasoning allows us to have a bunch of details and be able to KNOW (and SEE) what the result will be if we construct them in a particular way. In other words, we are able to reason with some detailed facts given to us and then come up with a concept or principal. Inductive Reasoning works forwards.
Let's get back to that glass we are looking at. It is filled half-way with liquid. Is it half full.... or half empty? All reasoning aside, the answer depends on your Perception. MY perception is that the glass is 100% full; one half liquid and one half air!
Here's how I figured that:
My Inductive Reasoning tells me that there is a glass, there is liquid and there is air in the part of the glass that does NOT have any liquid, therefore the glass is 100% full. I added up all the details to come to my conclusion, using my Perception.
My Deductive Reasoning tells that I am looking at a glass which is filled with 1/2 liquid, but that the liquid has displaced something, and that something is air. So, if one part of the glass is now filled with liquid, the other part must be filled with the substance that was replaced by the water :-) Alas, the glass is 100% full!
Perception is a tricky thing, my friend. We are programmed to use it the way other people want us to think. Nurture your own perception and make sure that you are always using it with expectation, intuition and an open mind! Acknowledge your perception, hone your skill in using it and be sure that you learn to trust what you see. Learn and understand the differences between Inductive and Deductive Reasoning and incorporate BOTH skills in to your perception.
Any circumstance or situation in life creates the opportunity to use your perception to determine HOW you will take action towards that opportunity. Every situation is an opportunity IF we perceive is as one. So each time the Universe provides an opportunity, remember that you can CHOOSE to look on it positively, or negatively and choose to see YOUR GLASS as 100% full!
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
Does the Universe have Ears?
Humans do,
animals do,
reptiles do,
fish do
even plants and trees have a mechanism to "hear"what is going on around them.
Does the Universe have Ears?
The answer is a resounding Y E S and depending on how "enlightened" or "open" you are will determine your belief & understanding of the answer.
I grew up in the 50's and 60's when we spoke, first in whispers, and then with stretching vocal chords, that we were living "in the Age of Aquarius". That is, that we were awakening, growing, becoming enlightened and KNEW that the Universe would respond to us if we were OPEN TO the idea of the Universe and BELIEVED in its power.
Oddly enough, believing in the Universe is not a "new age" idea. There have been civilizations that embraced the power of the Universe throughout the ages. You may have heard their names whispered throughout history as they were
Kings & Queens
Magicians and Wizards (Merlin)
Warriors
Witches
Heretics
and those "Odd" men and women who were a bit "off"
There has been a noticeable and calculable interest in the Universe and her powers since the turn of the Century, leaving the more pragmatic folks behind in favor of those who have been seekers of the truth (old hippies, boomers, & those who sought/seek the knowledge of the ages & the like).
By the way, we Baby Boomers of the 60's now realize, after decades of seeking knowledge, growth and empowerment, that the Age of Aquarius was NOT in our formative years, and has yet to come. We are living in the preamble of The Great Age of Aquarius and the energy is all around us. The secret is that you must be AWARE that there is a great power whose significance is that IT EMPOWERS YOU if you are open to it and CHOOSE TO EMBRACE IT and LEARN how to use it!
The Universe hears everything we put out there.
Since it does not judge right or wrong, positive or negative, it works to give you what you say or ask for thus we must learn the proper vocabulary to speak and THINK, as both are very powerful communication tools to access the Universe.
Be careful what you wish for, THINK and be careful of the words that you use.
The Universe is listening and cannot tell the difference between a joke, or a positive or negative thought! The Universe GIVES YOU what you ask for so make sure you know how to ask... so make sure that you are not putting out negative statements or thoughts.
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
Patience, Perseverence & Belief
This past weekend brought Passover AND Easter. The Universe presented us with a spiritual buffet. Last night I tuned in to one of my all time favorite films........Charlton Heston, Yul Brenner, Edward G Robinson..........can you guess? The 10 Commandments.
I remember when I was a little girl and saw this grand film in the "new" Technicolor on a GIANT screen. I remember drooling over a handsome Moses (Charlton Heston) and am exotic and mysterious Pharaoh (Yul Brenner). Edward G Robinson who played characters in many "Gee" movies about gangsters in the 30' s & 40's (and was the pride of my grandparents who always thought of him as "the Jewish boy who made good) of course was yet again, another "bad guy" Hebrew turning against his people AND his G-d.
If you've seen this film a gazillion times like me, I hope you saw it again last night! If you've never seen it, please do yourself a favor and rent the DVD. The Technicolor is better than anything we have today (in my humble opinion) and the history lesson coupled with the dashing leading men of the day make for a wonderful few hours of ........entertainment?
Hmmmmmm, which brings me to why this post is titled, Belief, Patience, Perseverance.
In order for us to attain our goals, we know we must write them down. Even BEFORE we do that, however, we must BELIEVE that we are "good enough" to reach for them, and then indeed, attain them. Moses displays this belief from the very start of the "Saga" in the movie. Don't forget, the retelling of this story is factual. Moses was left in the reeds on a River as an infant to be claimed by The mother of Pharaoh. He was raised to ascend to that throne until "fate" redirects Moses as he discovers that he is indeed a Hebrew. Moses then realizes that his kindness for and towards the "slaves of the day" (The Hebrews) was not just an accident of character. As history unfolds, Moses in embraced by G-d to lead the Hebrew people out of Egypt to freedom.
His evil brother conspires with the sitting Pharaoh and exiles Moses out of the "court" and into the slave camps of the Hebrews where Moses learns about his "birth" people. His BELIEF embodies him and he then perseveres to "know" his G-d. The reward is that G-d chooses Moses to embark on a path of leadership that brings us the 10 Commandments and a deeper faith to all.
Once The Hebrews successfully crossed through the Sea (parted by G-d) to escape Egypt, they wandered for FORTY (40) years before coming to The Promised Land. Moses wrapped himself in his BELIEF as he persevered. Patience was never lost, even as the people may have become misguided, Moses maintained his sense of purpose and belief through those forty years of trials and tribulations.
For those who don't know why The Hebrews wandered for 40 years, it was because G-d wanted to make sure that all those who originally left Egypt were dead. The Promised land was to be for those who were actually born in the travail and journey of those 40 years. It was THEY who embodied the belief, perseverance and patience, and "the knowing" that they would achieve their goals. Moses himself was not allowed to enter the new land. Joshua lead the people into the land.
What can we learn from all this? If you are a non believer there is still a valuable lesson in the history of the "story".
~~~~Moses embraced his belief and HELD on to it for FORTY YEARS

~~~~He persevered through obstacles, travails, food shortages, thirst, enemies and those who were naysayers not wanting him to succeed.
~~~~His faith, kindness, devotion and caring for others was embodied in his BELIEF in his Journey and its Reward.

Moses knew that he would not be able to enter "The Promised Land". Yet he continued his journey because it brought reward to others. HIS reward was in leading helping others :-)

Compassionate Marketers know that we must always think of others and help them define and reach toward their goals in order for us to reach ours. We must embrace our own belief in ourselves and our worthiness. We must take one step at a time and move forward day by day and have the patience and understanding that we WILL be moving forward. We must always, in the face of adversity (or those naysayers in our lives) persevere in order to attain our goals.

For a few hours last night I became that little girl again, watching Moses speak with G-d, battling the Egyptians, and leading my people out of Egypt.

For a few hours last night I sat in front of my 221 inch tv screen but magically my mind was transposing the images to that Jumbo tron screen of my youth.

For a few hours last night I felt myself BECOMING my beliefs, REGAINING my Faith and perseverance, and knowing that I must take one step at a time, each and every day to attain my goals.

This morning I am aglow with a RENEWED sense of faith (in my G-d, The Universe and myself)
and KNOW that I already am everything I want to be so I am putting one foot in front of the other, taking steps every day on my journey and KNOW that I will attain my goals.

What about you?

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.

What are you Attracting and Why?

I ran across a wonderful little tale that reminded me of how we direct The Law of Attraction in our own lives. The Law of Attraction exists as a gift or tool to help us in attaining our desires by either putting us in a place, situation or instance where what we need, who we need to meet, or who they know, to attain our goals & desires might be the catalyst for us to reach them.

It is up to each of us to define and know what our goals are. Remember, writing down our goals and visiting them often allows us to take ownership of them and invites The Law OfAttraction in to our lives.

This little tale (from the Kabbalah newsletter) exemplifies how low or small expectations rebuke The Law of Attraction into our Lives. The Universe means for us to be Abundant, Prosperous and Joyful.

****************
"It often amazes me how small we think. The universe is constantly presenting us with a smorgasbord of lasting fulfillment, yet we tend to settle for scraps. There is a story of a man who goes fishing. After he catches the fish, he measures it up against a ruler and if it's bigger than the ruler, he throw it back. By the end of the day he has thrown back quite a few, and a fellow fisherman asks him why. He explains, "The pot I use to cook the fish is only 12 inches wide. I have no use for the bigger fish."
Life wants to give us everything, but, when we're stuck with our small desires, it's like we are throwing it away.Today, rethink what it is you want out of life. Expand your desires. Imagine that you can do or have anything and allow yourself the courage to go for it."

Network Marketing and YOUR Goals

Remember this is YOUR journey; one that you should enjoy as you learn, grow and share... these tips will help you do just that.

Network Marketing can help us achieve our individual goals more than any other business paradigm. Once we have selected our vehicle (company) the important thing is to understand that we need to develop skills. What’s that?

In actuality, the optimum journey would be to learn and develop our skills FIRST and then learn how to evaluate and select an opportunity and company.So now that your passion has been ignited and you have your goals, what do you do?

1- Seek guidance from your sponsor or someone in your upline that is willing to give you a helping hand and put you on your journey towards success.

2- Understand and practice The Slight Edge (Jeff Olson). Do not be impatient and know that each baby step you take and performing those steps consistently and on a daily basis will be the most rewarding thing you can do.

3- Teaching others to do the same thing will enhance your ability to grow a fruitful and successful organization. This is Duplication at it's finest!

Remember that sponsor or upline that may be willing to help and guide you? Be sure that you find out WHAT systems they use and HOW to use them. Do not attempt to reinvent the wheel, my friend. It doesn’t matter whether or not you are new to network marketing or you have been in network marketing for 20 years. Each team has a system that they use. In most cases, the system will increase your ability to grow your business.

Here are a few tips:

1-Be prepared to WORK and decide how many hours you are willing to devote to your business.

2- Read The Slight Edge (Jeff Olson) and understand that building your business is a journey and reliant on your doing a few simple things over a long period of time, over and over again on a consistent basis (and teaching others to do the same thing)

3- Do not freeze. Remember, nobody knows what you DON’T know or what you might leave out in a presentation. Most people are NOT The Amazing Kreskin and cannot read your mind! Relax, learn on the job and enjoy!

4- Seek council and feedback from your sponsor, upline or mentor. Remember to invite constructive criticism in order to hone your skills.

5- Continue to attain your (written) goals of contacting/meeting/approaching people on a daily basis.

6- Be sure you have your written goals in a place that you can review them OFTEN.

Knowing that you are on a daily journey will reinforce your ability to stick to your plan and continue on a daily basis.

Remember this is YOUR journey; one that you should enjoy as you learn, grow and share!

Helping other people focus and teaching them how to grow is the real payoff in Network Marketing!

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.

Perception, Gratitude and Dancing in the Rain :-)

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning to dance in the rain.

Author Unknown

Wow! How many of us miss all the good stuff that COULD BE because we just don’t know how to appreciate and live in Gratitude?

Yesterday I woke up and on my way to the stairway I found my English Siamese Pussy Cat, Sweet Pea who had decided to stretch out and take a nap, right at the foot of the stairs. Sweet Pea is the same color as my carpet and I didn’t see her! Ooops! I suddenly felt her fur on the bottom of my foot as a quickly withdrew it and broke my toe in the misstep! Ouch

Living in Gratitude means finding the good or positive things in an event or situation.

If I had stepped on Sweet Pea she could have been critically hurt. Splat! I could have lost My balance and tumbled down the stairwell and broken an arm, leg or worse!

Yesterday was a wonderful day! I did not squish the cat, nor did I break a leg! I am sporting a rainbow toe that is
the most beautiful color of raspberry magenta I’ve seen in years. It is a great conversation piece……….. especially for me, a Network Marketer.

Now I am not suggesting that you go and break a toe to start conversations J And, beware of kitties lazing underfoot. The lesson is, however, that I am ever grateful for NOT hurting myself and for my colorful toe which introduced me to several wonderful People yesterday!

Living in Gratitude means perceiving or seeing things differently!

13 years ago I met an old friend, her daughter and husband in New Orleans. I had just moved to Texas from New Jersey, where my friends were still living and it was a reunion of sorts. Two wonderful things happened on that trip!

I wore a lovely summer straw hat on the plane and it seems, other people thought so too as it became a conversation piece allowing me to meet a few great folks, several of whom are STILL my friends. But, when my friends met me at the airport, my dear friend exclaimed, “Oh, it’s just like you to wear a hat and draw attention to yourself”. Negative energy and perception go hand and hand, my friends.

Be aware, be awake and always listen to the Universe!

The second lesson appeared as we were on Bourbon Street going through the Art Galleries and Shops. Suddenly the skies opened up and there was a DELUGE of rain. It rained in torrents for about 15 minutes greeting the already sultry, steamy atmosphere with more of the same.

Make yummy Lemonade, or is this a lesson on Perception?

My friend, bless her, was “upset” about the rain and exclaimed that it was ruining HER day.
Me? I put my straw hat on her husband’s head for safe keeping, ripped off my sandals, lifted my skirts and ran out into the gutters splashing into the torrent of water rushing down the street.

A funny thing happened
in that that moment. People started emerging out of the shops. After watching me for a minute or two, some of them actually joined me in a “gutter splash”, giggling and laughing to THEIR hearts content! LITERALLY, we were dancing in the rain! I even lifted my head and opened my mouth to TASTE the rain!

When was the last time you tasted the rain?

My friends, “Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; It's about learning to dance in the rain.” **

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about what you do DURING the
Storm that counts!

Remember, you ALREADY ARE everything you want to be, just Take Action and invoke the Law of Intention and her sister, The Law of Attraction will bring you where you want to be!

Go ahead, DANCE in the rain and check this short video out to put a smile on your face!

Thanks to my friend Donna Jean from
Thoughts for the Day for sending this poignant reminder to us all!

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.

Compassionate Marketing Lessons from the Running Trail

I started Running again last week! It's been 4 years since I last ran my daily 5 Kilometers twice a day. I stopped running after 5 years because I got "dizzy" on that last 99 degree day and almost didn't make it home. When I run, my body temperature goes up about 15 degrees! It was SCARY and I couldn't bring myself to get back to one of the things I loved best because of that fear!

Know what I mean?

For me, running clears my head, allows me to hear myself think and allows me to work out and focus on my plan of action for the day. It allows me to focus on my daily, weekly, monthly and long term goals. NOT running has taken its toll on the way my days shake out :-(

So, back to beautiful Town Lake in Downtown Austin Texas (The Colorado River runs right through downtown) where one can embrace nature, the flowers and fauna and clean out the cobwebs in your mind. Some bike the trail, some walk and some are running. ALL are experiencing their own "daily mental cleanse" no matter which activity they do.

What about you?

What are YOU doing to clean out your brain and keep planning and DOING on a daily basis?

A funny thing happened today on the trail. Actually, 3 things, all related.

First I saw a BEAUTIFUL Doberman Pinscher puppy, only about 12 weeks old. He had just had his ears "clipped" (ouch!) and probably shouldn't have been there. He was cowering in between his owners' legs while the bikes whizzed by, the people ran past and the walkers meandered on their way. This puppy was SCARED of all of it. The noises, the smells, the din! There was just much too much going on for this little fella. His name was Adler. I wanted desperately to go over to him and get some licks and pet him but as I quietly inched my way up to him, stopping and cooing his name every foot or so, he got more and more upset. His "owner", a young lady who had never had pets before (and was certainly NOT a Mother) did not understand that Adler was scared, or why. She kept on pulling him on.

I am an animal lover, and although I share my living space with Sweet Pea an English Siamese Cat, this beautiful, large pawed, two toned reddish brown Dobie baby was calling to me. Alas, I couldn't get near him!

~~What did he make of all the confusion?

~~What did he make of the person who he was supposed to trust and rely on for support, love and caregiving?

~~What did he think of himself?

Adler has not been empowered by his "owner" nor has he been embraced or given the option to learn the skills that will make him a strong, empowered, secure pet/animal/sentient being.

What about you?

The second thing that happened on the trail today was when I was sprinting a section of the path and suddenly found myself in a fit of giggles so hard I had to stop. Coming towards me was a runner with her dog on a lead. THIS dog was, get ready............part dachsund and part wire haired terrior. Looooooooooong and standing about 4 inches from the ground he had curly white hair like a terrior with spots of brown and black. His tail was long and his ears were held in a way that didn't allow them to flop as he ran with his human.

THIS animal was a king amongst kings! He was REGAL in his trot AND the way he carried his head. He was secure in who he was and was enjoying the moment. He KNEW he was perfect and exuded that to all those who looked (and giggled) as they gazed on him.

What about you?

The third thing that I experienced today was, on this trail teaming with animals and their humans trotting, running, sprinting, walking and biking.........an older gent MEANDERING down the running trail at a snails' pace with his cane. I had stopped a few yards behind him to catch me breath and ponder the water, the birds and marvel at the clarity that overwhelmed me. Slowly, I approached this old fellow. He methodically put one foot in front of the other and then moved his cane. He then stopped to admire a bird, flower, or the flow of the Colorado River. It's been storming here the last few days and the river is high and pregnant with life. SO WAS THIS Older fellow. I stopped along side him and said "howdy" ( the customary hello in Austin) and he smiled, slowing down even further. I asked him if he was enjoying his walk and he beamed with pride, self assurance, perseverence and the knowledge that HE WAS DOING JUST WHAT HE INTENDED on doing for the day! We chatted briefly, I hailed goodbye and was off...... but will never forget the three lessons I learned today.

They are all related.

You ARE what you THINK you are.

It is all about your SELF IMAGE and

what you THINK about yourself.

Adler the Grand Doberman Pinscher puppy wil never be secure or loving. He is a sad, cowering little puppy with no support from his human owner.

My little Dauchsie/Terrier mix IS a king among kings; grand, secure, eloquent in his movement and the way he carried himself, poised and sure of himself.

My elderly Gent eclipsed them all in lessons today. He accomplished what he set out to do today.

All three ARE what they think they are!

What about you?

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.

What can we learn from Passover?

Tonight is the beginning of Passover celebrating the liberation of the Jewish People from Egypt. The Jewish people were enslaved and ironically, the manpower and brains behind the everlasting pyramids and monuments left behind by their captores, The Egyptians.

Who are your captores? Are you allowing yourselves to be enslaved?

When Moses won the right for the Jewish people to leave Egypt, only about 25% of the Jewish people CHOSE to go with him. What mindset pervaded those who stayed behind? Familiarity, apathy and a lack of personal desire and will.

What mindset for those who CHOSE to leave? Vision, promise and the desire for a better life!

The Jewish people wandered the desert for 40 years. Their existance and very life required peserverence, goal setting, vision and a BELIEF system that would ensure their success.

Are you stuck in your own Egypt?

Write down your goals, desires and vision and BEGIN the journey. I promise, you will NOT wander the desert for 40 years. By the way, if we could transport back to the time when Joshua and Moses found themselves at the doorstep of their "Land of Milk and Honey", they would tell you that their 40 year journey WAS WORTH IT!

For my Jewish friends and dear Readers,

Finding Your Inner Truth

Where do we find our inner truth?

The last several weeks find me cultivating and growing a new friendship. Each conversation reveals a little more about my friend, AND myself. You see, as we "tell stories" about ourselves, our lives, our families, we are imprinting what WE BELIEVE to be true on to others, and the Universe.

We have studying Perception, and know that perhaps, what we THOUGHT we saw, felt, tasted, experienced, may not have been exact or even true! We each bring our perceptions to our present and past, so it is important to keep that in mind.

Find the truth FOR yourself IN yourself. Helen Mirin put it best, "Find the Truth OF yourself".

Finding the truth FOR yourself requires that you

1- have the Intention of being KIND to yourself

2- know that you are Worthy and Valuable

3- not be judgemental of yourself

4- be able to embrace yourself

5- be willing to celebrate WHO you are

Our individual identities are NOT a reflection of what others think we are. The chatter and the smog in our brain, emotions and psyche usually cloud our ability to recapture and REMEMBER exactly who we are.

Several exercises that will allow you to RECLAIM the ability to to that are:

1- remember when you were a small child, without preconceptions or prejudice. Remember the DELIGHT, the NEWNESS of an experience or thing, the simple pleausures like LAUGHTER and JOY. Now take a mental journey to a place you CREATE in your minds' eye and allow yourself to FEEL your emotions without judgement.

2- Realize that it is only you that controls your thoughts. We all have choices. Do not let ANYONE rent space in your brain. It is precious real estate my friend! Create your own "perfect day" or "perfect moment". Feel, smell, see, all the beauty and warm feelings that accompany your perfect moment or day. Allow yourself to be EMBRACED by the feelings and emotions.

3- KNOW and understand that your perfect day is a tool that you might use to BLOCK OUT any negative voice that creeps in to your brain. It's free, it's powerful, it's UNIQUE and it is you!

Finding the truth FOR yourself by looking INTO yourself and you will, as Helen Mirin put it best, "Find the Truth OF yourself" AND, as Shakespeak so eloquently and simply stated, "To Your Own Self Be True!"

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.

Giving = Gratitude = Receiving= Success

Compassionate Marketers come in all sizes and colors, and are born out of...............other Compassionate Marketers. As we strive to reach out to others, teach then and help them on their journey to success, we are truly RECEIVING the best gift of all! The Gift of Giving makes us richer than we might ever imagine!

Giving = Gratitude = Receiving= Success

We can learn about Giving from the story of The Red Marble:

"I was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes. I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily apprising a basket of freshly picked green peas. I paid for my potatoes, but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas. I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes. Pondering the peas, I couldn't help overhearing the conversation between Mr. Miller (the store owner) and the ragged boy next to me.

'Hello Barry, how are you today?' 'H'lo, Mr. Miller. Fine, thank ya. Jus' admirin' them peas. They sure look good..' 'They are good, Barry. How's your Ma?' 'Fine. Gittin' stronger alla' time.' 'Good. Anything I can help you with?' 'No, Sir. Jus' admirin 'them peas.'

'Would you like take some home?' asked Mr. Miller.
'No, Sir. Got nuthin' to pay for 'em with.'
'Well, what have you to trade me for some of those peas?'
'All I got's my prize marble here.' '

Is that right? Let me see it, said Miller. 'Here 'tis. She's a dandy.' 'I can see that. Hmmmmm, only thing is this one is blue and I sort of go for red. Do you have a red one like this at home?' the store owner asked. 'Not zackley but almost.' 'Tell you what.

Take this sack of peas home with you and next trip this way let me look at that red marble', Mr. Miller told the boy.

'Sure will. Thanks Mr. Miller.' Mrs. Miller, who had been standing nearby, came over to help me. With a smile said, 'There are two other boys like him in our community, all three are in very poor circumstances. Jim just loves to bargain with them for peas, apples, tomatoes, or whatever. When they come back with their red marbles, and they always do, he decides he doesn't like red after all and he sends them home with a bag of produce for a green marble or an orange one, when they come on their next trip to the store.'

I left the store smiling to myself, impressed with this man. A short time later I moved to Colorado , but I never forgot the story of this man, the boys, and their bartering for marbles.
Several years went by, each more rapid than the previous one. Just recently I had occasion to visit some old friends in that Idaho community and while I was there learned that Mr. Miller had died. They were having his visitation that evening and knowing my friends wanted to go, I agreed to accompany them.

Upon arrival at the mortuary we fell into line to meet the relatives of the deceased and to offer whatever words of comfort we could. Ahead of us in line were three young men. One was in an army uniform and the other two wore nice haircuts, dark suits and white shirts...all very professional looking.

They approached Mrs. Miller, standing composed and smiling by her husband's casket.. Each of the young men hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, spoke briefly with her and moved on to the casket. Her misty light blue eyes followed them as, one by one, each young man stopped briefly and placed his own warm hand over the cold pale hand in the casket.

Each left the mortuary awkwardly, wiping his eyes. Our turn came to meet Mrs. Miller. I told her who I was and reminded her of the story from those many years ago and what she had told me about her husband's bartering for marbles. With her eyes glistening, she took my hand and led me to the casket. 'Those three young men who just left were the boys I told you about. They just told me how they appreciated the things Jim 'traded' them. Now, at last, when Jim could not change his mind about color or size....they came to pay their debt.'

'We've never had a great deal of the wealth of this world, 'she confided,' but right now, Jim would consider himself the richest man in Idaho ' With loving gentleness she lifted the lifeless fingers of her deceased husband. Resting underneath were three exquisitely shined red marbles. The Moral : We will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind deeds. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath. Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles ~ A fresh pot of coffee you didn't make yourself. An unexpected phone call from an old friend. Green stoplights on your way to work. The fastest line at the grocery store. A good sing-along song on the radio. Your keys found right where you left them. Send this to the people you'll never forget. I just Did... IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GATHER, BUT WHAT YOU SCATTER THAT TELLS WHAT KIND OF LIFE YOU HAVE LIVED!

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.

Leap Year Gifts!

Save this message. It will only come to you every 4 years :-)

Although I was born in November (1948), I am a "Leap Year Baby" in that I was born in a Leap Year! Maybe that is why I never seemed to have enough time to accomplish all the things I want to do.

What about you?

When we slow down and take stock of WHO we are, WHAT we want to accomplish and HOW we plan on doing that, we can then put a plan into action.

The steps to making a plan are easy:

1- Write it down

2- Use a "help" tool, such as The Slight Edge Charts to measure your daily activity

3. Start and maintain your personal development by reading or listening to cd's on a daily basis.

4. Do a personal "review" weekly and REVISE or ADJUST your activities

5. Find a work out buddy or mentor and connect with them often

6. Make sure that your Plan includes "personal time" to enjoy your family,
friends, and make time for your Spiritual life too!

7. Laugh every day.

8. Give without expectation of receiving anything in return

9. Be aware of your environment, surroundings and the music of nature

10. Practice gratitude

Happy Leap Year 2008! We have an extra day to reach out to others and help them realize that they might live their dreams! Make the most of your extra day and know that you are touching the lives of others in a positive way! The Gift of Giving on Leap Year Day is a special blessing :-)
