How to attain your goals? Write it down, write it down!

Did you know that 95% of aspiring Network Marketers are not only new but part time marketers who seek to improve their lives; many times by just a few hundred dollars a week? A lucrative and effective compensation plan MUST PROVIDE for these part timers, thus creating an extraordinary place for Leaders (like you and I) who strive to not only live our dreams but to help others attain THEIR goals and dreams!

Being a Compassionate Marketer means that your contributions as a leader will be beneficial to all those whom you touch.

How can we learn to understand and motivate other networkers in our group?

Monday evening my personal business group discussed the importance of defining “Your 25 Reasons” and why it is important for you to WRITE THEM DOWN. As you may know, virtually ALL the "Captains of Industry" in our society to date have one thing in common; they ALL write down their goals. Doing so builds a STRONG kinetic bond between your heart and your brain and it also sends a message out to the Universe that you have INTENTION. The Universe always pays attention!

Your 25 reasons need to be STRONG enough to MOTIVATE you so that NOTHING stands in the way of your goals! Be sure that you KEEP this in your thoughts at all times.

Here is how it works:

1--Your goals should motivate you so strongly that you should be able to say, "If I don't get to (your goal, let's say the next level in your company) by (date) then I will give up........ (define what you will give up)

2--The thing you give up should be VERY important to you, like giving up your season's tickets to sport events (maybe The Yankees games) or selling your beloved 1967 Vintage Barracuda! The whole idea is that you would NEVER give those things up, so your motivation will KEEP you going until you reach your goal so you do NOT have to give them up! You are thus PUTTING VALUE to that which you want to attain and your goals suddenly become INTENSIFIED!
Example, Let's say I wanted to lose 30 lbs and could never do it before. Now I am on “the cookie diet” but don't really stick to it. If I promise that I will lose the weight OR I will have to give away my precious Sweet Pea (my beloved English Siamese pussy cat) then I KNOW that I will stick to the cookie diet and lose the weight. Can you see that?

Your assignment for this week, if you choose to accept it (Mission POSSIBLE) is to write (or re-write) your 25 Reasons for Being a (Your next in Level) in 2008.

This is NOT an easy assignment, my friend. Take a few days and noodle around what reasons will really motivate you enough to energize you to TAKE ACTION for the long term. The Slight Edge (By Jeff Olson) will get you there IF you are motivated and take action:-)

If you wish, you may submit YOUR 25 Reasons to me. BE SURE you TAKE ACTION by printing them out and placing them ALL over your home and office, review them several times a day, and SAY THEM OUT LOUD! my25reasons@CompassionateMarketing.com Please include your phone number, name and email address and I will contact you for a free consultation.
Questions? Please feel free to call or write. Thank you for being such an important part of Compassionate Marketing. Your contributions, comments and your friendship are a blessing to me!

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to yourdoor.

Giving = Gratitude = Receiving= Success

Compassionate Marketers come in all sizes and colors, and are born out of...............other Compassionate Marketers. As we strive to reach out to others, teach then and help them on their journey to success, we are truly RECEIVING the best gift of all! The Gift of Giving makes us richer than we might ever imagine!

Giving = Gratitude = Receiving= Success

We can learn about Giving from the story of The Red Marble:

"I was at the corner grocery store buying some early potatoes. I noticed a small boy, delicate of bone and feature, ragged but clean, hungrily apprising a basket of freshly picked green peas. I paid for my potatoes, but was also drawn to the display of fresh green peas. I am a pushover for creamed peas and new potatoes. Pondering the peas, I couldn't help overhearing the conversation between Mr. Miller (the store owner) and the ragged boy next to me.

'Hello Barry, how are you today?' 'H'lo, Mr. Miller. Fine, thank ya. Jus' admirin' them peas. They sure look good..' 'They are good, Barry. How's your Ma?' 'Fine. Gittin' stronger alla' time.' 'Good. Anything I can help you with?' 'No, Sir. Jus' admirin 'them peas.'

'Would you like take some home?' asked Mr. Miller.
'No, Sir. Got nuthin' to pay for 'em with.'
'Well, what have you to trade me for some of those peas?'
'All I got's my prize marble here.' '

Is that right? Let me see it, said Miller. 'Here 'tis. She's a dandy.' 'I can see that. Hmmmmm, only thing is this one is blue and I sort of go for red. Do you have a red one like this at home?' the store owner asked. 'Not zackley but almost.' 'Tell you what.

Take this sack of peas home with you and next trip this way let me look at that red marble', Mr. Miller told the boy.

'Sure will. Thanks Mr. Miller.' Mrs. Miller, who had been standing nearby, came over to help me. With a smile said, 'There are two other boys like him in our community, all three are in very poor circumstances. Jim just loves to bargain with them for peas, apples, tomatoes, or whatever. When they come back with their red marbles, and they always do, he decides he doesn't like red after all and he sends them home with a bag of produce for a green marble or an orange one, when they come on their next trip to the store.'

I left the store smiling to myself, impressed with this man. A short time later I moved to Colorado , but I never forgot the story of this man, the boys, and their bartering for marbles.
Several years went by, each more rapid than the previous one. Just recently I had occasion to visit some old friends in that Idaho community and while I was there learned that Mr. Miller had died. They were having his visitation that evening and knowing my friends wanted to go, I agreed to accompany them.

Upon arrival at the mortuary we fell into line to meet the relatives of the deceased and to offer whatever words of comfort we could. Ahead of us in line were three young men. One was in an army uniform and the other two wore nice haircuts, dark suits and white shirts...all very professional looking.

They approached Mrs. Miller, standing composed and smiling by her husband's casket.. Each of the young men hugged her, kissed her on the cheek, spoke briefly with her and moved on to the casket. Her misty light blue eyes followed them as, one by one, each young man stopped briefly and placed his own warm hand over the cold pale hand in the casket.

Each left the mortuary awkwardly, wiping his eyes. Our turn came to meet Mrs. Miller. I told her who I was and reminded her of the story from those many years ago and what she had told me about her husband's bartering for marbles. With her eyes glistening, she took my hand and led me to the casket. 'Those three young men who just left were the boys I told you about. They just told me how they appreciated the things Jim 'traded' them. Now, at last, when Jim could not change his mind about color or size....they came to pay their debt.'

'We've never had a great deal of the wealth of this world, 'she confided,' but right now, Jim would consider himself the richest man in Idaho ' With loving gentleness she lifted the lifeless fingers of her deceased husband. Resting underneath were three exquisitely shined red marbles. The Moral : We will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind deeds. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath. Today I wish you a day of ordinary miracles ~ A fresh pot of coffee you didn't make yourself. An unexpected phone call from an old friend. Green stoplights on your way to work. The fastest line at the grocery store. A good sing-along song on the radio. Your keys found right where you left them. Send this to the people you'll never forget. I just Did... IT'S NOT WHAT YOU GATHER, BUT WHAT YOU SCATTER THAT TELLS WHAT KIND OF LIFE YOU HAVE LIVED!

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.

Why Multi tasking & Multi streaming don't Work

Why Multi tasking & Multi streaming don't Work

I recently enrolled a new Affiliate from the UK & for mis-spelled her name in my Compassionate Marketing NEWSLETTER. This gal is an amazing; an accomplished business woman who is create and eager to build her business recurring income through the company that Compassionate Marketing is associated with. She is a webmaster and has her own thriving business in The UK AND she is fast tracked to be Compassionate Marketing's next UK Leader.

My error was due to that nasty "multi-tasking bug" that sometimes hits us all, and decidedly I have realized that this "incident would be a valuable lesson for us all :-)

I recently watched a documentary about multi-tasking, which of course is akin to multi-streaming in our beloved industry. Many aspiring Network Marketers think that MORE is better. We even see people who join legions of companies at the same time, never accomplishing anything but perhaps maxing out several credit cards with a constant stream of outgo.

The documentary revealed, under an MRI on the brain, that

1- people who multi tasked were LESS apt to absorb, assimilate or achieve excellence in EITHER of their tasks.

2- Our brain can certainly HANDLE multi tasking, however optimum performance and success requires our FULL attention.

3- Today's "techno society" encourages multi tasking/streaming, however the end results are sub par.

Think about driving your car and talking on your cell phone. How much do you miss around you and how are you impeding your reactive skills should they be required?

Think about talking with a new prospect whilst checking your email or typing up a proposal. Hmmmm, how much detail is missing from the document, how many times must you go back and RE read the email and

more importantly, how does your prospect FEEL on the other end of the phone?

We encourage people to always SMILE when they are on the phone because it will be FELT on the other end of the phone.

In the same manner, each and every one of our Prospects AND Affiliates deserves our FULL ATTENTION when we are speaking/training/visiting with them.

Compassionate Marketers know that the secret to Success and creating Long Term Recurring income is by caring about others. That means LISTENING and taking the time to get to know them, their goals and their dreams.

I could write a book about each of my personally sponsored affiliates, and particularly this new lovely gal who is a charming and smart young Entrepreneur who IS a Compassionate Marketer at heart!

Perhaps our new tag line should read:

Compassionate Marketing,
NO multi tasking allowed because you deserve our FULL attention :-)

Have an awesome week my friends. Please feel free to contact me for any assistance you may require. I promise to give you my FULL attention!

How to Turn your (Success) Dreams in to Reality

"Success comes to those who BELIEVE in the beauty of their dreams."
(Eleanor Roosevelt)

Network Marketing is a profession (un) like any other.
It requires a specific set of skills, determination, perseverance
and the ability to dream. More importantly it requires you to
BELIEVE in the beauty of your dreams. Doing so turns your
dreams in to REALITY, one step at a time.

Network Marketing is a journey, NOT unlike the journey of your life. We have a choice to live EACH DAY as if there is no other (there isn't).

Allow your yesterdays to die and keep the truth of your dreams (vision) in front of you. TODAY is the only day that you should celebrate and LIVE to it's fullest extent :-)

BELIEVE in the beauty of your dreams. Doing so turns your dreams in to REALITY, one step at a time.

Network Marketing is Self Development, not unlike the journey of your life. Celebrate YOU each day by reading a good self development book 30 minutes a day. You deserve it.

Gone with the Wind is NOT a good self development book (unless you are Scarlett O'Hara and finally, at the END of your life, lament all the days past that you could have been growing)

Danielle Steele and Joan Collins' books are NOT self development books. They are reverie that KEEP YOU in a place out of time, LOSING TODAY and your opportunity to GROW.

Allow your yesterdays to die and keep the truth of your dreams (vision)in front of you. TODAY is the only day that you should celebrate and LIVE to it's fullest extent :-)

What to read?

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

Acres of Diamonds by Dr. Russell Conwell

As a Man Thinketh by James Allen

TNT the Power Withing You by Claude Bristol

Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles

Big Al Tells All by Tom "Big Al" Schreiter

These Classics will help you build a strong foundation for your
daily growth as you keep the truth of your dreams (vision) in front of you.

BE a Compassionate Marketer:

Watch your thoughts; they become words.

Watch your words; They become actions.

Watch your actions; they become habits.

Watch your habits; they become character.

Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Remember, "Success comes to those who BELIEVE in the beauty
of their dreams."

BE a Compassionate Marketer

GROW!

BELIEVE!

Do me a favor and let me know if this article impacts your life :-)
I will send you one of the books (above) as a "Gratitude Gift" for your comment.
Send your contact information to GratitudeGift@CompassionateMarketing.com along with the Title of the ebook you prefer and I will send it to you right away :-)

How to Get and Retain your Customers

Customer retention is a very important part of Network Marketing.

If your present company does NOT have a Retail plan in place, then you should ask them to initiate one. Retail Sales is the life's blood of building Long Term Recurring Income.

My good friend "Big Al" Tom Schreiter calls affiliate/distributors and Customers alike USERS. What this means is that your compensation plan and company should provide for an equal amount of compensation for your product being used (ordered) by either the distributor OR Customer.

So how DO you KEEP your customers? Well, first you have to get them :-)

When I chat with people and they tell me they have a health challenge, the first thing I do is LISTEN.

A Compassionate Marketer will LISTEN to the prospective customer. Go ahead, let them talk! The more they talk the more you LEARN about what their needs are.

Perhaps you learn that their children have special requirements. Perhaps their Grandmother has diabetes or arthritis or needs a hearing aide.

Once they are done talking I always ask them "would you like to do something about that?" Yes? Great! Then I mention whichever product might serve them well or ask if their Grandmother would be interested in something that would help her.

Now your prospect is a customer. There are several steps I take right away. You may want to do them too.

1- Keep a log of all your customers including name, date of purchase, product, delivery date, Thank You date, Re-order date etc. Be sure and note the items in #7. You can use a a spreadsheet or an old fashioned card file (like a recipe card box) which is what I use)

2- SEND a Hand Written THANK YOU note. Yep! That's right. Go buy a package or three of Thank You notes from the grocery store or order personal ones from Vista Print but BE SURE and send out that Thank you note within the first few days. It should arrive before or when the product arrives.

3- Follow up with your customer (PHONE CALL) when the product arrives to make sure they know EXACTLY how to take it and then ask if you can check back in a few days to see how they are doing. (Calendar a call for a few days later.)

4- Follow up with ANOTHER Call about 5-7 days later to find out how the customer is feeling or doing with your product. This is the time that you can suggest any adjustments to the usage regime for a more effective outcome. If necessary, schedule another follow up call.

5- Calendar a follow up call for three weeks later (when the re-order should be due) to chat and remind the customer that a re-order is imminent. You might say, "I am so glad that you are feeling ............using our product. I see that you are due for a refill next week. Shall I process your order for you so that you won't run out, or would you like to do the reordering yourself on my website?" Most people will be thrilled that you contacted them and will give you the reorder right on the spot.

6- Once the re-order is complete send out another Thank you note specifically for the re-order. THIS TIME mention that your company has a convenient REFILL program so that the product will be delivered to them without them having to manually process the order. You may also include a bit of literature about another product that you feel your customer has an interest in OR send them a sample of another product.

**This is an important step because MANY people will agree to the refill program (AUTOSHIP) however they will state that they WANT TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH YOU. That's the Secret! Make sure you assure them that you will be in touch with them and DO SO. Calendar a once a month "hello" call with them.

7- Be sure and jot down any Life Cycle events for your customer such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, kids/spouse birthdays etc. and SEND A CARD to them. Use the US mail rather than an electronic card. This is a lots art and your customer will NEVER forget that you send them cards. Sending cards equals LONG TERM RETENTION. It is customer service at its finest!

8- Develop a short Newsletter for your Customers and send it out once a month. Highlight a product by offering some information about it first. Two or three paragraphs is suitable. BEFORE you close your newsetter and almost as an afterthought you my say, "For more information about this product please go to http://www.yourproduct.com/ " The PURPOSE of this little newsletter is to EDUCATE people about other products that you have. They may not order now, but they might KNOW SOMEONE who needs the nformation/product. To that end you might set up your own

9- Customer referral program and let your customers know that you appreciate referrals. Now a LIFETIME customer is a valuable asset and it is not necessary to "convert them" to distributor status. You might reward your customer for referrals by giving them an occasional free product. Everyone likes something for nothing :-)

10- Don't' forget to SMILE when you are on the phone with your Customer and ALWAYS call them as scheduled. Courtesy, caring and hands on customer service will ensure customer retention.

Would you like a free consultation to discuss customer acquisition or retention? Please send me an email or call, anytime.--
