The Keys to your Success

Your dreams are your own. Nobody else has YOUR specific goals and dreams.

YOU hold the key to your own success in manifesting your dreams and goals.

How do you DO that? (DO is an action word)

1- ACKNOWLEDGE your goals and dreams

2- Allow them free reign in your heart, soul, brain, subconscious AND Conscious thoughts

3- Write down your goals and dreams and post them all over (your work area, living space, car etc)

4- DO 15-30 minutes of personal development EVERY DAY (tapes, cds, books, meditation, affirmations

5- Remember that your dreams belong to YOU and only you. Be Audacious, bold and daring and be prepared to step OUT of your comfort zone to move forward every day towards your dreams and goals.

6- BE single minded and FOCUSED on your dreams and goals; do not let any one dissuade you or tarnish your dream. COVET YOUR DREAMS and KNOW that they are already yours. It is your job to attract them to you.

Remember that it is the Journey that counts and once you attain your goals and dreams you will give birth to another and another. PAY ATTENTION to the little things that occur daily. THEY are the stuff that dreams are made of :-)

7- Practice The Slight Edge. Take baby steps, every single day.

Contact me for a free Slight Edge Chart and be sure and read The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson.

Remember, whatever you want to be you ALREADY ARE.

Look inside yourself and BELIEVE.

When you take action you invite the Universe to orchestrate things, people and events that will bring your dreams and goals to you. BE KIND TO YOURSELF and others; BE a Compassionate Marketer.

Expanding your Perception

Is the glass REALLY half full or is it really half empty?

I remember my Dad asking me this questions when I was a child. I thought it was a "magic" question and labored to come up with the correct response!

What about you?

This is really an age old philosophical question that was used to measure a child's deductive or inductive reasoning skills. It also measures a persons' PERCEPTION!

Deductive Reasoning allows us to grasp (and SEE) the WHOLE picture and then to understand and break down and pick out the bits and pieces that make it up. Those who can solve a Geometry theorem are good at Deductive Reasoning. Deductive Reasoning works backwards like a jigsaw puzzle or a Crossword puzzle. Both puzzles give you the big picture and ask you to figure out the details.

Inductive Reasoning allows us to have a bunch of details and be able to KNOW (and SEE) what the result will be if we construct them in a particular way. In other words, we are able to reason with some detailed facts given to us and then come up with a concept or principal. Inductive Reasoning works forwards.

Let's get back to that glass we are looking at. It is filled half-way with liquid. Is it half full.... or half empty? All reasoning aside, the answer depends on your Perception. MY perception is that the glass is 100% full; one half liquid and one half air!

Here's how I figured that:

My Inductive Reasoning tells me that there is a glass, there is liquid and there is air in the part of the glass that does NOT have any liquid, therefore the glass is 100% full. I added up all the details to come to my conclusion, using my Perception.

My Deductive Reasoning tells that I am looking at a glass which is filled with 1/2 liquid, but that the liquid has displaced something, and that something is air. So, if one part of the glass is now filled with liquid, the other part must be filled with the substance that was replaced by the water :-) Alas, the glass is 100% full!

Perception is a tricky thing, my friend. We are programmed to use it the way other people want us to think. Nurture your own perception and make sure that you are always using it with expectation, intuition and an open mind! Acknowledge your perception, hone your skill in using it and be sure that you learn to trust what you see. Learn and understand the differences between Inductive and Deductive Reasoning and incorporate BOTH skills in to your perception.

Any circumstance or situation in life creates the opportunity to use your perception to determine HOW you will take action towards that opportunity. Every situation is an opportunity IF we perceive is as one. So each time the Universe provides an opportunity, remember that you can CHOOSE to look on it positively, or negatively and choose to see YOUR GLASS as 100% full!

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.

Patience, Perseverence & Belief

This past weekend brought Passover AND Easter. The Universe presented us with a spiritual buffet. Last night I tuned in to one of my all time favorite films........Charlton Heston, Yul Brenner, Edward G Robinson..........can you guess? The 10 Commandments.

I remember when I was a little girl and saw this grand film in the "new" Technicolor on a GIANT screen. I remember drooling over a handsome Moses (Charlton Heston) and am exotic and mysterious Pharaoh (Yul Brenner). Edward G Robinson who played characters in many "Gee" movies about gangsters in the 30' s & 40's (and was the pride of my grandparents who always thought of him as "the Jewish boy who made good) of course was yet again, another "bad guy" Hebrew turning against his people AND his G-d.

If you've seen this film a gazillion times like me, I hope you saw it again last night! If you've never seen it, please do yourself a favor and rent the DVD. The Technicolor is better than anything we have today (in my humble opinion) and the history lesson coupled with the dashing leading men of the day make for a wonderful few hours of ........entertainment?

Hmmmmmm, which brings me to why this post is titled, Belief, Patience, Perseverance.

In order for us to attain our goals, we know we must write them down. Even BEFORE we do that, however, we must BELIEVE that we are "good enough" to reach for them, and then indeed, attain them. Moses displays this belief from the very start of the "Saga" in the movie. Don't forget, the retelling of this story is factual. Moses was left in the reeds on a River as an infant to be claimed by The mother of Pharaoh. He was raised to ascend to that throne until "fate" redirects Moses as he discovers that he is indeed a Hebrew. Moses then realizes that his kindness for and towards the "slaves of the day" (The Hebrews) was not just an accident of character. As history unfolds, Moses in embraced by G-d to lead the Hebrew people out of Egypt to freedom.

His evil brother conspires with the sitting Pharaoh and exiles Moses out of the "court" and into the slave camps of the Hebrews where Moses learns about his "birth" people. His BELIEF embodies him and he then perseveres to "know" his G-d. The reward is that G-d chooses Moses to embark on a path of leadership that brings us the 10 Commandments and a deeper faith to all.

Once The Hebrews successfully crossed through the Sea (parted by G-d) to escape Egypt, they wandered for FORTY (40) years before coming to The Promised Land. Moses wrapped himself in his BELIEF as he persevered. Patience was never lost, even as the people may have become misguided, Moses maintained his sense of purpose and belief through those forty years of trials and tribulations.

For those who don't know why The Hebrews wandered for 40 years, it was because G-d wanted to make sure that all those who originally left Egypt were dead. The Promised land was to be for those who were actually born in the travail and journey of those 40 years. It was THEY who embodied the belief, perseverance and patience, and "the knowing" that they would achieve their goals. Moses himself was not allowed to enter the new land. Joshua lead the people into the land.

What can we learn from all this? If you are a non believer there is still a valuable lesson in the history of the "story".

~~~~Moses embraced his belief and HELD on to it for FORTY YEARS
~~~~He persevered through obstacles, travails, food shortages, thirst, enemies and those who were naysayers not wanting him to succeed.

~~~~His faith, kindness, devotion and caring for others was embodied in his BELIEF in his Journey and its Reward.
Moses knew that he would not be able to enter "The Promised Land". Yet he continued his journey because it brought reward to others. HIS reward was in leading helping others :-)
Compassionate Marketers know that we must always think of others and help them define and reach toward their goals in order for us to reach ours. We must embrace our own belief in ourselves and our worthiness. We must take one step at a time and move forward day by day and have the patience and understanding that we WILL be moving forward. We must always, in the face of adversity (or those naysayers in our lives) persevere in order to attain our goals.
For a few hours last night I became that little girl again, watching Moses speak with G-d, battling the Egyptians, and leading my people out of Egypt.
For a few hours last night I sat in front of my 221 inch tv screen but magically my mind was transposing the images to that Jumbo tron screen of my youth.
For a few hours last night I felt myself BECOMING my beliefs, REGAINING my Faith and perseverance, and knowing that I must take one step at a time, each and every day to attain my goals.
This morning I am aglow with a RENEWED sense of faith (in my G-d, The Universe and myself)
and KNOW that I already am everything I want to be so I am putting one foot in front of the other, taking steps every day on my journey and KNOW that I will attain my goals.
What about you?
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
Do Women Do it Better?
Women don't have to PRACTICE, they DO! Okay gents, move over :-) Did you know................
that it was women in the Biblical Days that
1- taught values, ethics, morals and culture
2- kept the family together
3- developed AND Grew the relationships
Fast forward to 2008 and it is not surprising that women are fast taking over the Network Marketing Industry simply because they do not have to "work" at the above mentioned qualities and attributes.
Women are Natural Networkers.
I grew up in the 50's and 60's when women were still "homemakers" and did not work outside the home. Times changed gradually and women all over the Nation suddenly found themselves "without skills" to obtain traditional jobs. Wooohooooo, what a stroke of luck!
Women not only
1- taught values, ethics, morals and culture
2- kept the family together
3- developed AND Grew the relationships but they also were fabulous accountants, social directors, nutritionists, executive dispatchers and the list goes on.
Running a home and a family required (and STILL requires) a laundry list of skills that women developed, never realizing these skills were exceptionally marketable in "the business world".
Women are natural networkers! They have LISTENING skills and do so with their HEART as well as with their ears; they develop relationships with people based on the other persons needs, NOT their own. Women are used to GIVING, whether it be to a spouse, children, The PTA, etc. It is no wonder that our beloved industry is now replete with fabulous and successful women who have "come in to their own, REALIZE and TAKE OWNERSHIP of their skills, and reach out to others to nurture them.
How do you define your credentials?
1- Define and Draft a list of YOUR TALENTS and SPECIAL QUALITIES
2- Look at your home life, your experiences, as well as your "J.O.B."
3- Be willing to ACCEPT that you have natural talents
4- SHARE those talents with others
5- Repeat #1 often
Need affirmation of your skills and talents? Check with your Church/Synagogue associates and organizations, PTA, Community Groups, Social Groups, etc.
Write down all the things you do on a daily basis to keep your household running.
Repeat #1 often
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
Network Marketing and YOUR Goals
Remember this is YOUR journey; one that you should enjoy as you learn, grow and share... these tips will help you do just that.
Network Marketing can help us achieve our individual goals more than any other business paradigm. Once we have selected our vehicle (company) the important thing is to understand that we need to develop skills. What’s that?
In actuality, the optimum journey would be to learn and develop our skills FIRST and then learn how to evaluate and select an opportunity and company.So now that your passion has been ignited and you have your goals, what do you do?
1- Seek guidance from your sponsor or someone in your upline that is willing to give you a helping hand and put you on your journey towards success.
2- Understand and practice The Slight Edge (Jeff Olson). Do not be impatient and know that each baby step you take and performing those steps consistently and on a daily basis will be the most rewarding thing you can do.
3- Teaching others to do the same thing will enhance your ability to grow a fruitful and successful organization. This is Duplication at it's finest!
Remember that sponsor or upline that may be willing to help and guide you? Be sure that you find out WHAT systems they use and HOW to use them. Do not attempt to reinvent the wheel, my friend. It doesn’t matter whether or not you are new to network marketing or you have been in network marketing for 20 years. Each team has a system that they use. In most cases, the system will increase your ability to grow your business.
Here are a few tips:
1-Be prepared to WORK and decide how many hours you are willing to devote to your business.
2- Read The Slight Edge (Jeff Olson) and understand that building your business is a journey and reliant on your doing a few simple things over a long period of time, over and over again on a consistent basis (and teaching others to do the same thing)
3- Do not freeze. Remember, nobody knows what you DON’T know or what you might leave out in a presentation. Most people are NOT The Amazing Kreskin and cannot read your mind! Relax, learn on the job and enjoy!
4- Seek council and feedback from your sponsor, upline or mentor. Remember to invite constructive criticism in order to hone your skills.
5- Continue to attain your (written) goals of contacting/meeting/approaching people on a daily basis.
6- Be sure you have your written goals in a place that you can review them OFTEN.
Knowing that you are on a daily journey will reinforce your ability to stick to your plan and continue on a daily basis.
Remember this is YOUR journey; one that you should enjoy as you learn, grow and share!
Helping other people focus and teaching them how to grow is the real payoff in Network Marketing!
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
Compassionate Marketing Lessons from the Running Trail
I started Running again last week! It's been 4 years since I last ran my daily 5 Kilometers twice a day. I stopped running after 5 years because I got "dizzy" on that last 99 degree day and almost didn't make it home. When I run, my body temperature goes up about 15 degrees! It was SCARY and I couldn't bring myself to get back to one of the things I loved best because of that fear!
Know what I mean?
For me, running clears my head, allows me to hear myself think and allows me to work out and focus on my plan of action for the day. It allows me to focus on my daily, weekly, monthly and long term goals. NOT running has taken its toll on the way my days shake out :-(
So, back to beautiful Town Lake in Downtown Austin Texas (The Colorado River runs right through downtown) where one can embrace nature, the flowers and fauna and clean out the cobwebs in your mind. Some bike the trail, some walk and some are running. ALL are experiencing their own "daily mental cleanse" no matter which activity they do.
What about you?
What are YOU doing to clean out your brain and keep planning and DOING on a daily basis?
A funny thing happened today on the trail. Actually, 3 things, all related.
First I saw a BEAUTIFUL Doberman Pinscher puppy, only about 12 weeks old. He had just had his ears "clipped" (ouch!) and probably shouldn't have been there. He was cowering in between his owners' legs while the bikes whizzed by, the people ran past and the walkers meandered on their way. This puppy was SCARED of all of it. The noises, the smells, the din! There was just much too much going on for this little fella. His name was Adler. I wanted desperately to go over to him and get some licks and pet him but as I quietly inched my way up to him, stopping and cooing his name every foot or so, he got more and more upset. His "owner", a young lady who had never had pets before (and was certainly NOT a Mother) did not understand that Adler was scared, or why. She kept on pulling him on.
I am an animal lover, and although I share my living space with Sweet Pea an English Siamese Cat, this beautiful, large pawed, two toned reddish brown Dobie baby was calling to me. Alas, I couldn't get near him!
~~What did he make of all the confusion?
~~What did he make of the person who he was supposed to trust and rely on for support, love and caregiving?
~~What did he think of himself?
Adler has not been empowered by his "owner" nor has he been embraced or given the option to learn the skills that will make him a strong, empowered, secure pet/animal/sentient being.
What about you?
The second thing that happened on the trail today was when I was sprinting a section of the path and suddenly found myself in a fit of giggles so hard I had to stop. Coming towards me was a runner with her dog on a lead. THIS dog was, get ready............part dachsund and part wire haired terrior. Looooooooooong and standing about 4 inches from the ground he had curly white hair like a terrior with spots of brown and black. His tail was long and his ears were held in a way that didn't allow them to flop as he ran with his human.
THIS animal was a king amongst kings! He was REGAL in his trot AND the way he carried his head. He was secure in who he was and was enjoying the moment. He KNEW he was perfect and exuded that to all those who looked (and giggled) as they gazed on him.
What about you?
The third thing that I experienced today was, on this trail teaming with animals and their humans trotting, running, sprinting, walking and biking.........an older gent MEANDERING down the running trail at a snails' pace with his cane. I had stopped a few yards behind him to catch me breath and ponder the water, the birds and marvel at the clarity that overwhelmed me. Slowly, I approached this old fellow. He methodically put one foot in front of the other and then moved his cane. He then stopped to admire a bird, flower, or the flow of the Colorado River. It's been storming here the last few days and the river is high and pregnant with life. SO WAS THIS Older fellow. I stopped along side him and said "howdy" ( the customary hello in Austin) and he smiled, slowing down even further. I asked him if he was enjoying his walk and he beamed with pride, self assurance, perseverence and the knowledge that HE WAS DOING JUST WHAT HE INTENDED on doing for the day! We chatted briefly, I hailed goodbye and was off...... but will never forget the three lessons I learned today.
They are all related.
You ARE what you THINK you are.
It is all about your SELF IMAGE and
what you THINK about yourself.
Adler the Grand Doberman Pinscher puppy wil never be secure or loving. He is a sad, cowering little puppy with no support from his human owner.
My little Dauchsie/Terrier mix IS a king among kings; grand, secure, eloquent in his movement and the way he carried himself, poised and sure of himself.
My elderly Gent eclipsed them all in lessons today. He accomplished what he set out to do today.
All three ARE what they think they are!
What about you?
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
Getting from Here to There
Before you can BE successful, you must know where it is you want to go, what steps you will have to take to get there and what is standing in your way.
Where You Want to Go
Setting a goal sounds easy, but it is not. In order for your goal to become attainable you must define it with great clarity and detail.
1- Write down you basic concept and then keep reworking it until it is EXACTLY what you want to attain.
2- Use your original notes and then write down your Goal IN DETAIL.
3- Describe, using all of your six senses what your life will be like and look like, when you attain your goal. What will it smell, FEEL, taste, look, like? What sounds will you hear? What does your Intuition (your Sixth Sense) TELL you, MAKE YOU FEEL like?
4- Speak your Goal into existence on a daily basis by creating affirmations and statements that describe your life as if you have already attained your goal (s). Repetition and emotion are the magic elixir that will initiate The Laws of Intention and Attraction to your doorstep!
5- Hold Faith that the Universe will arrange people, places, and situations to happen that will help you achieve your goal. BE ALERT and willing to take advantage of these situations when they occur. There are NO coincidences in life; situations are either opportunities (for those that ACT on them), or opportunities lost.
The Steps you will have to take to get there
1- Make a commitment to yourself
2- Learn the Skills that will be needed
3- Find and USE the TOOLS to help you
4- Take ACTION on a daily basis
5- Don’t quit; be there two years from now. Rome was not built in a day :-)
Practice The Slight Edge theory which states that you must take baby steps each day to get where you want to go.
Thomas Edison found 978 ways NOT to construct a Light Bulb, but the 979th way was THE RIGHT to do it! If Mr. Edison quit before he got to the 979th way, Civilization would be “living in the dark” without electric light bulbs! He stated with great delight and pride that he had found 978 ways NOT to make a lightbulb, and by the way, many of those 978 ways NOT to make a lightbulb produced many other great inventions!
What is standing in your way?
1- Do not let anyone Rent Space in Your Brain! It’s valuable territory! We all have those “little voices” in our mind that tell us we cannot do this or that. Perhaps it’s your Auntie or your Dad. YOU can do whatever you set your mind to accomplish; the voices only have control over you IF you let them control you so
2- Clear your brain and BELIEVE in yourself. Free yourself from self doubt by reclaiming your mind; it’s valuable territory and YOU and you alone control it!
3- Start a Daily Personal Growth program. Read a good book, listen to CD’s, watch a DVD that will keep you motivated, keep you moving forward and believing in yourself. Read at least 15-30 minutes in the morning and then again before you go to bed each night. Remember, your mind works on the LAST thing you feed it at night, so be sure to give it something enriching to work on (instead of watching the news on television)
4- Write down affirmations and review them (with emotion) on a daily basis to keep yourself moving forward and motivated.
5- Learn to BELIEVE in yourself and your abilities. If you have learned the proper skills, have clear, decisive goals and learn to TRUST in yourself then you will invoke the Laws of Intention and Attraction and they will be your constant companions on your Journey towards Success.
6- Remember that once you attain your Goal that you must create a NEW goal and begin once again! There is nothing better in life than to KNOW that we each have the ability create and achieve. We must always remember that it is the JOURNEY that is important and we must covet and enjoy each new path that we embark on!
7- Always be sure to Believe in yourself and practice “THE KNOW”. The Know is simply your ability, deep down inside you to realize that you are worthy and deserving and that by taking the correct steps, invoking The Laws of Intention and Attraction you WILL attain your goals. Belief is the KEY ingredient in your success!
Perception, Opportunity and Dennis The Menace
I ran across a TERRIFIC quote today. Many of you will think back to the TV series and reminisce about this person, and the interesting thing to me is the TAG or LABEL that we put on him.
"People wait for opportunity to come along...yet it is there every morning."~ Dennis the Menace
Wow, you may remember the series was about a little boy who was ALWAYS getting in to things. Let's twist our perception around for a minute. NOW we see that the premise IS that Dennis believed that opportunity was there, EVERY DAY and all he had to do is................you guessed it, TAKE ACTION!
Think about the other characters, Mr. & Mrs. Wilson the neighbors and even The Mitchells, his parents. The original comic strip set Dennis in the early 50's I think, when I was growing up. In those days, Mothers wore aprons and wouldn't think of working (the were proud HOUSEWIVES) and the elderly retirees, The Wilsons were not forward thinking people. Mr. Wilson put years in to 1 job, retired and then just wanted to sit in his rocking chair and rock away the rest of his life.
Now think about the flavor and opportunity that Dennis gave to the Wilsons! Hmmm, even Mrs. Wilson became Dennis' champion, somehow seeing and appreciating that Dennis was bringing Mr. Wilson back to a meaningful life rather than twiddling his life away on a Rocker :-) Dennis was keeping Mr. Wilson active and engaged in life!
Opportunity comes in various shapes, sizes and colors my friend. They are the stuff of life, IF we take ACTION on them.
How lucky and blessed we are, finding people and resources that help us become better people and become MORE, for ourselves and our families.
Think Dennis Mitchell and see the world as he does. See every day as he does, and your life and business will flourish. Don't forget to SEE the Opportunity and then TAKE ACTION!
""""""Oh Mr. Wilssssssssssssssooon""""""!!!!!!!!!!! --
May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.
Reaching inside Yourself for Success in 2008
Tis the season for us all to be thinking about our future in the coming year.
What is the very best way to do that?
Reach inside ourselves to
1- REVIEW what worked for us in 2007.
2- REVIEW what did not work for us in 2007.
3- Change, alter and add action that will "advance" us along our Journey
3- LOOK FORWARD to 2008 with the knowledge that
4- We ALREADY ARE who we THINK we are and that all we must do is
5- TAKE ACTION to let the Universe know that we are in tuned with her and that we embrace all that we ALREADY ARE.
This inspiring short video is a gift of the Spirit for us all.
Remember, we already are who we THINK we are; just reach out and embrace it!
Merry Christmas, Happy Boxing Day, Happy Kwannza
What can you learn from Atlas Shrugged?
I am REreading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. You may have read it in your lifetime; this is my 6th or 7th REread over mine. I highly suggest you make this your NEXT book. Since I've read it so many times I have a mental picture, a literal "picture" running in my conscious with expectations of what I will read next as I turn each page. Life, "coming home", or at least what "coming home" SHOULD BE, what I remember and what I am reading anew is NOT the same.
What is the difference?
Perception.
Wisdom.
Personal Growth.
You see life happens and our lives are shaded by our own personal experiences.
Those of us who are deliberate are on a path of Conscious Personal Developement. I was going to use the word "fortunate" but that's just the thing; we who are goal oriented, passionate about our lives, our families, our successes are NOT fortunate, we are Deliberate Creators embarking on a step by step journey that BECOMES (and IS) our life! Our Perception, as we grow become shaded with all the experiences that we embrace along our journey. Our experiences and perceptions of those experiences will never change WHO we are if we are TRUE to our own beliefs, values and mores.
I invite you to meet Dagny, Francisco, Hank, John Galt :-) and the other characters that are simple NOT characters............they are US. They are what we should be and we, as Compassionate Marketers, are them. Stellar, focused, ethical people who are, underneath it all, Compassionate Marketing cousins. Their concern, caring & power springs from a motivation that is for their fellow humans who are like minded and will never accept anything less than a common set of beliefs, values and mores. They are deliberate creators who aresorting through the chafe and attracting like minded people to build a strong enduring world (team). They are the gathering of like minds who perpetuate old fashioned, stable and secure values that will build them a world that will flourish and grow.
What about you?
If you've not ever read Atlas Shrugged I invite you to do so. If you HAVE read it then I invite you to REread it now :-) I know that you will celebrate the triumphof human spirit, the pain and self awareness of personal growth and the exhilaration of embracing your own power.
Goal Setting; Does Life get in the Way?
Does Life get in the Way?
We all know that we must set a Goal for ourselves, whether it be for our Home based business or even our personal lives. There are lots of articles on Goal Setting; how to, what to say, and how to stay focused. Lots of people Are making money selling you articles or “programs” so that you can “Stick to” Your goals.
The truth is that goal setting and KEEPING your goal activities is very simple IF you understand what might derail you :-)
Here are a few reasons that you might put your goals aside:
1- Your Vision is not clear
2- You do not believe you are worthy
3- “Life” gets in the way
4- You do not persevere
5- It’s easier to quit than to take one step at a time towards your goal
Your Vision
What is your personal vision? Is it physical, spiritual, business, personal?
Whatever YOUR vision is you will know it because you will TASTE IT, SMELL IT And FEEL IT just as if it is already yours!
1- Write a VISION STATEMENT and post it on your VISION BOARD (some people call it a DREAM BOARD). Be sure your written Statement is clear with ALL the details of your vision. If you want to build a home for instance, make sure all the details are included in your statement; size of lot, location, the view from each room, colors of rooms, dimensions, exposure etc.
2- Be sure and include your activities as if you are already living in the home; be very specific.
3- Be sure to write your Vision Statement in the NOW (present tense)
On Being Worthy/Self Esteem
Working on our self-esteem is on ongoing process. Most of us have some kind of “Gotcha’s” living in our heads. May be we hear our Aunt or a parent telling us that we are “not able” or will “never be able” to do be successful. Consider that we most ALWAYS live up to those voices; it is called Self-Fulfilling Prophecy.
1- Start your own Personal Growth, it’s easy! Read or listen to tapes for at least 30 minutes daily. Here are some great titles to get you started:
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
TNT the Power Within You by Claude Bristol ****
7 Habits of Successful People by Stephen Covey
Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles
We can use Self Fulfilling Prophecy to turn our lives in to a Positive stream of energy rather than derailing us and keeping us from attaining our goals. Each day that you read and absorb these details and concepts and PUT THEM IN TO PRACTICE you are becoming a stronger and more successful person J
Does Life get in the Way?
Make yourself your own Number 1 priority. Go ahead, it’s okay. Did you know that most of the baby boomers were taught that it was selfish of them to ask for something for themselves or even make themselves a priority? Not True!! In fact, JUST THE REVERSE IS TRUE. Putting yourself first, ASKING for what you want is just the thing that will INITIATE the energy of the Universe and help you move towards your goals.
Make YOURSELF and your GOALS a priority and then TAKE ACTION; move forward and do not lose sight of what you want or where you are going.
Perseverence & The Easy way Out!
Remember, your goals are YOURS and you are able to achieve anything you desire as long as you believe you are worthy and able. Working on yourself is an ongoing, lifetime process. Attaining your goals usually doesn’t take a lifetime. The trick is NOT TO QUIT and keep moving forward towards your goal. If you DO this, you NEVER lose :-)
I recently spoke at a Leadership Summit and told the audience, “Whatever you think you want to be YOU ALREADY ARE; you simply need to take the Actions to bring it in to your reality. Whatever you want to attain you need only to take the Actions to bring it in to Your reality for it is already here waiting for you”
This is YOUR Life! Don’t let it get in the way; make it whatever you want it to be!
Why Multi tasking & Multi streaming don't Work
Why Multi tasking & Multi streaming don't Work
I recently enrolled a new Affiliate from the UK & for mis-spelled her name in my Compassionate Marketing NEWSLETTER. This gal is an amazing; an accomplished business woman who is create and eager to build her business recurring income through the company that Compassionate Marketing is associated with. She is a webmaster and has her own thriving business in The UK AND she is fast tracked to be Compassionate Marketing's next UK Leader.
My error was due to that nasty "multi-tasking bug" that sometimes hits us all, and decidedly I have realized that this "incident would be a valuable lesson for us all :-)
I recently watched a documentary about multi-tasking, which of course is akin to multi-streaming in our beloved industry. Many aspiring Network Marketers think that MORE is better. We even see people who join legions of companies at the same time, never accomplishing anything but perhaps maxing out several credit cards with a constant stream of outgo.
The documentary revealed, under an MRI on the brain, that
1- people who multi tasked were LESS apt to absorb, assimilate or achieve excellence in EITHER of their tasks.
2- Our brain can certainly HANDLE multi tasking, however optimum performance and success requires our FULL attention.
3- Today's "techno society" encourages multi tasking/streaming, however the end results are sub par.
Think about driving your car and talking on your cell phone. How much do you miss around you and how are you impeding your reactive skills should they be required?
Think about talking with a new prospect whilst checking your email or typing up a proposal. Hmmmm, how much detail is missing from the document, how many times must you go back and RE read the email and
more importantly, how does your prospect FEEL on the other end of the phone?
We encourage people to always SMILE when they are on the phone because it will be FELT on the other end of the phone.
In the same manner, each and every one of our Prospects AND Affiliates deserves our FULL ATTENTION when we are speaking/training/visiting with them.
Compassionate Marketers know that the secret to Success and creating Long Term Recurring income is by caring about others. That means LISTENING and taking the time to get to know them, their goals and their dreams.
I could write a book about each of my personally sponsored affiliates, and particularly this new lovely gal who is a charming and smart young Entrepreneur who IS a Compassionate Marketer at heart!
Perhaps our new tag line should read:
Compassionate Marketing,
NO multi tasking allowed because you deserve our FULL attention :-)
Have an awesome week my friends. Please feel free to contact me for any assistance you may require. I promise to give you my FULL attention!
The Secret to Believing in Yourself
At a recent Atlanta Leadership Summit I spoke about belief. You know, it's really simple!
"Whatever you want to be you ALREADY ARE."
It's already there, right inside of you. Sometimes we get in our own way and inhibit that which we want the most :-)
There is no magic recipe, what is needed most is that you have faith in yourself and Take Action. That's the secret. Taking Action is the catalyst for "what you already are" to grow and bloom.
Get out of your own way! Give up the ghosties. Stop letting other people rent space in your brain telling you what you can and cannot do, what you an and cannot be. You already ARE---- and as my friend Yoda said, There is no try, there is DO or NO do."
THAT is the secret---- Take Action and BE what you arleady are!
Here is another way to describe your belief in yourself. It comes from a newsletter on Kabbalah.
"Anxiety is internal. It feels real but it's not. Many of us are our own worst enemy because of our unkind belief systems about who we think we are - and are not.
We don't accept ourselves, both the Light and the dark. Somehow we should be better, should be more like someone else, should be further ahead.
To quote The Deer Hunter: "This is this, this ain't something else, THIS IS THIS!'
You have a deep, spiritual soul that has the capacity for unconditional love. The first and most important love is self love, everything flows downstream from there.Today, give yourself the gift of unconditional love."
Remember, "Whatever you want to be you ALREADY ARE."
How to Turn your (Success) Dreams in to Reality
"Success comes to those who BELIEVE in the beauty of their dreams."
(Eleanor Roosevelt)
Network Marketing is a profession (un) like any other.
It requires a specific set of skills, determination, perseverance
and the ability to dream. More importantly it requires you to
BELIEVE in the beauty of your dreams. Doing so turns your
dreams in to REALITY, one step at a time.
Network Marketing is a journey, NOT unlike the journey of your life. We have a choice to live EACH DAY as if there is no other (there isn't).
Allow your yesterdays to die and keep the truth of your dreams (vision) in front of you. TODAY is the only day that you should celebrate and LIVE to it's fullest extent :-)
BELIEVE in the beauty of your dreams. Doing so turns your dreams in to REALITY, one step at a time.
Network Marketing is Self Development, not unlike the journey of your life. Celebrate YOU each day by reading a good self development book 30 minutes a day. You deserve it.
Gone with the Wind is NOT a good self development book (unless you are Scarlett O'Hara and finally, at the END of your life, lament all the days past that you could have been growing)
Danielle Steele and Joan Collins' books are NOT self development books.They are reverie that KEEP YOU in a place out of time, LOSING TODAY and your opportunity to GROW.
Allow your yesterdays to die and keep the truth of your dreams (vision)in front of you. TODAY is the only day that you should celebrate and LIVE to it's fullest extent :-)
What to read?
Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
Acres of Diamonds by Dr. Russell Conwell
As a Man Thinketh by James Allen
TNT the Power Withing You by Claude Bristol
Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D Wattles
Big Al Tells All by Tom "Big Al" Schreiter
These Classics will help you build a strong foundation for your
daily growth as you keep the truth of your dreams (vision) in front of you.
BE a Compassionate Marketer:
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; They become actions.
of their dreams."
What is Network Marketing?
There are no secrets to Network Marketing.
It's not magic and you don't have to be a Magician to be successful.
Network Marketing is simply another way to market products.
We are all used to "Direct Sales".
Remember the Kirby Vacuum cleaner guy?
Remember the Fuller Brush man?
They were Direct Marketers just like a phone company calling you
to ask if you want to switch to their phone company.
Network Marketing is really REFERRAL MARKETING.
Have you sent your child to a great camp and told your friends and neighbors?
Tried a new bottle of beer or wine and loved it so much that you told all your buddies?
Send your kids to a great school?
Purchased a bubble bath that left your skin soooooooo beautiful and soft that you
called all your girlfriends and told them about it? What about a lipstick or mascara?
Did you purchase a new car from a Dealer that DIDN'T HASSLE YOU? I bet you told
ALL YOUR FRIENDS about this terrific car dealer.
These are all examples of REFERRAL MARKETING.
Network Marketing in Referral Marketing at it's best; it PAYS you for
all your product and service referrals! Imagine that! Getting paid for referring
people to products and services that you already like and are using :-)
J. Paul Getty (The Steel Magnet) was once overheard saying: "I would
rather have 1% of the efforts of 1000 men than 100% of my own efforts".
WHY? Because each of us can only contact and know a limited amount of people.
J. Paul Getty understood that if you LEVERAGE your efforts by helping other
people get what they want, then you create a win-win situation!
