Do Women Do it Better?

Women don't have to PRACTICE, they DO! Okay gents, move over :-) Did you know................

that it was women in the Biblical Days that

1- taught values, ethics, morals and culture
2- kept the family together
3- developed AND Grew the relationships

Fast forward to 2008 and it is not surprising that women are fast taking over the Network Marketing Industry simply because they do not have to "work" at the above mentioned qualities and attributes.

Women are Natural Networkers.

I grew up in the 50's and 60's when women were still "homemakers" and did not work outside the home. Times changed gradually and women all over the Nation suddenly found themselves "without skills" to obtain traditional jobs. Wooohooooo, what a stroke of luck!

Women not only

1- taught values, ethics, morals and culture
2- kept the family together
3- developed AND Grew the relationships but they also were fabulous accountants, social directors, nutritionists, executive dispatchers and the list goes on.

Running a home and a family required (and STILL requires) a laundry list of skills that women developed, never realizing these skills were exceptionally marketable in "the business world".

Women are natural networkers! They have LISTENING skills and do so with their HEART as well as with their ears; they develop relationships with people based on the other persons needs, NOT their own. Women are used to GIVING, whether it be to a spouse, children, The PTA, etc. It is no wonder that our beloved industry is now replete with fabulous and successful women who have "come in to their own, REALIZE and TAKE OWNERSHIP of their skills, and reach out to others to nurture them.

How do you define your credentials?

1- Define and Draft a list of YOUR TALENTS and SPECIAL QUALITIES
2- Look at your home life, your experiences, as well as your "J.O.B."
3- Be willing to ACCEPT that you have natural talents
4- SHARE those talents with others
5- Repeat #1 often

Need affirmation of your skills and talents? Check with your Church/Synagogue associates and organizations, PTA, Community Groups, Social Groups, etc.

Write down all the things you do on a daily basis to keep your household running.

Repeat #1 often

May your day be a treasure bringing Increase and Plenty to your door.

The many Faces of Perception

You are who you THINK you are :-) Really?

My Step Dad recently had a mini stroke and had the big artery “roto rootered” because of a 90% blockage.

We have been talking every day since then. I know him since I was 14 years old and he is a very large part of my life even though we have not been close in the past 20 Years or so. My Mom recently passed away and so I have been “repairing the relationship” with my Step Dad. I won’t bore you with family details, but I suddenly realized that there is a Life Lesson in what is happening NOW and it can and SHOULD BE applied to all of us as Compassionate Marketers :-)

PERCEPTION IS EVERYTHING

Families being what they are, it has been MY perception that my Step Dad really didn’t care about me thus did not pay attention to anything about me.

Yesterday we were talking on the phone and I mentioned that I had recently been awarded a Top Builder’s Award from my company.

This is what he said to me; “You know RS, I always knew you were a terrific “sales” person.” But LISTEN to what he said next…. “I remember when you were 18 and had come for dinner. You were selling Colliers Encyclopedias back then. “(I ran a team of people who sold these great books door to door!)

He continued,

“We were almost ready to sit down for dinner and you asked if we could wait about 15 – 30 minutes or so because you had been chatting with Mr. Jimmie the Superintendent of our building and he wanted to know more about the Set of Encyclopedias. You went downstairs to speak with Mr. Jimmie and came back up for Dinner in 17 minutes and had sold the set to Mr. Jimmie and his family! You were so very excited RS. I remember because I congratulated you on your sale and YOU said that it was so great that Mr. Jimmie’s children would have the opportunity to learn from these great books because it would give them a better start in school and they would get better grades and have better opportunities!” He continued, “I was impressed that you were more excited about the future of Mr. Jimmie’s children than making the sale. I knew you had a great future ahead of you and whatever you did would involve helping others.”

WOW! My Step Dad, all these (4) DECADES later (yeah, I am that old, lol) remembers AND respects me for my talents, even now.

Perception IS everything and I have been operating under the perception that my Step Dad

1- did not consider me part of the family
2- care about or take notice of my accomplishments
3- did not feel that my accomplishments were worthy or valuable

A friend has recently suggested that when someone has a stroke that different parts of the brain become ACTIVATED and memories come flooding in. My NEW perception however, is that I have a Step Dad who never knew how to express his feelings and even though he may have cared about me all these years, he had never expressed those feelings. (He waited 40 years until our conversation the other day to tell me how proud of me he was/is)

ALTERING OUR PERCEPTION

1- We do not have control over OTHER peoples feelings or Actions, but we sure DO have control over our own perceptions, feelings and actions.

2- What things have happened in your life that are stopping you from believing in yourself and taking action on things that you want and dream about?

3- What people in your life may think you are special but don’t know how to express themselves?

4- What are you DOING to grow yourself (personal development) and understand that it is YOUR PERCEPTION of the world around you and YOUR PERCEPTION of an encounter with someone as a Compassionate Marketer that really matters.

If you care about others and have the desire to Help people Live their Dreams they will FEEL your sincerity and be comfortable and want to be around you. For whatever reasons, it took my Step Dad 40 years to reach out to me, and it took the same 40 years for me to take a step back and change MY perception by paying attention, being caring and listening with my heart!

You see you ALREADY ARE everything you want to be. You just have to take action and believe!

When does the Relationship Begin?

Are you a Professional Network Marketer?

Are you in a Service Industry?

Are you a Waitress?

Are you a Physician?

Are you a Milkman? (oops, I’m showing my age)

Are you a Plumber or Electrician?

Are you a Stockbroker?

Are you a Teacher?

It really does not matter WHAT profession or vocation you area in, what matters is how Successful you are. These days Success is usually defined as “having allot of money” however the REAL definition should be how many people you help to better their own lives. This can only happen when you are a Compassionate Marketer and know that the REAL secret to your personal success is in “Helping people Live their Dreams”, giving them a solution to a challenge, taking a genuine interest in them and helping to make their lives better J

Hmmmm, how does one DO that? By consciously having the DESIRE to take an interest in the person and then take ACTION to build a relationship with them. Building a relationship gives you insight into the persons’ needs, requirements, desires, dreams and goals. Once you can define THEIR needs you can better serve them.

The underlying question is then “When does the Relationship Begin?”

If you are a Waitress the relationship building begins with the first, “Hello may I help you?” Ask any Waitress who has a following; customers who will only sit at HER tables when they come to that particular restaurant. WHY? Because she has taken an interest in them, knows their favorite foods, is courteous, warm and INTERESTED in them J She always wears a smile and carries a big heart.

If you are a Physician the relationship building begins with the first, “Hello, what is bothering you today and how may I help you?” Ask any Physician who has built a huge practice with many generations of families coming to him. This Physician has taken the time to get to know each and every patient, their family members and takes an ACTIVE interest in their well-being. He/she is courteous, warm and INTERESTED in them. He wears a big smile and is never rushed.

If you are a Teacher the relationship building begins with the first “Hello, my name is Miss Smith, what’s your name?” Ask any teacher and she will tell you that taking an interest in each child, getting to KNOW them, their family histories, their talents, likes and dislikes is the essential factor that helps in establishing and building relationship with each child. This person always wears a big smile and is eager to sovle any challenge or problem that a child may have.

If you are a Professional Network Marketer the relationship building begins with the first “Hello, my name is Miss Smith” (on the phone or in person) a huge smile, the firm shake of a hand and showing a genuine interest in the prospect rather than “getting them in the deal. “ Taking the time to get to know a persons’ needs, their family’s dreams and goals and their circumstance sends a signal that you VALUE the person you are speaking with rather than looking at them like they are a tasty $$ Dollar sign to be added to your bank account.

Each of these professions has an opportunity to establish RELATIONSHIP at the very first encounter. What happens next is up to YOU.

1- Take an interest in the person (prospect/customer/client/distributor)

2- Put them FIRST and take your time getting to know them

3- Never rush through an encounter or meeting and allow proper time

4- Establish (in your own mind) if your “opportunity” is a good match with your prospect

5- If not, then network with someone else and REFER your prospect to another person. Life has a funny way of coming full circle and you never know what may happen as a result of a sincere referral.

6- Remember your prospect/customer/client/distributors and send Life Cycle greeting cards or a short note to let them know that they MATTER to you.

7- Smile, be sincere and express gratitude for all that you attract in to YOUR life and others will FEEL the gratitude and want to be part of your life :-)

The Secret to Success is not amassing large amounts of money, rather, it is being able to look back and be grateful for myriad opportunities to Help people Live their Dreams, help them solve their problems and share their journey and teach them along the way so that they may teach others.

Starting Your Week Right :-)

Start the week right! Each day provides us with the opportunity to FOCUS and TAKE ACTION, and doing so will, accumulatively, help bring us closer to our goals! We all have a desire to achieve some level of success. Have you THOUGHT ABOUT what level YOU are reaching for?

For some the desire is greater than the averageperson. Let's face it, everyone wants to be successful but very few are really willingto pay that price of W.E.I.T. (What Ever It Takes) Success is an attitude. It is a posture that you take that states, "I deserve to have it all."

Success is attainable to all, yet so few achieve it.

Success is a habit and has no real secrets. It all starts with your belief system. Your belief system starts with how you feel about yourself.

Your own personal self-esteem is the key ingredient to so much of your success. You must first adopt a personal positive self-image of yourself. In networking your product is always going to be "YOU" and your second productis people. You are really marketing your confidence. That is why a positive self-image is so important, especially in your first conversation with your prospects.(You never get a second chance to make a first impression.) Forgiving yourself, others in your past, past mistakes & failures are paramount in your early journey to success. If you are, or have not been able to do this, then perhaps you Need a 30 Day Mental Cleanse. Join our Community and "wash awaythe Ghosties" and find out WHO and BECOME the real and wonderful YOU! There is No Charge to Join our Community or to participate in the 30 Day MentalCleanse! For questions regarding the Mental Cleanse, feel free to email me Cleanse@RSMallory.com

The Law of Attraction is alive and well!!

A key point to remember here is that you attract to your reality who and whatyou are. When you are positive and feel good about you, you attract like-mindedindividuals. The same holds true if you are negative in your thought processes.Your thought processes will always determine your bank account of love. It isessential that you learn to forgive, let go, and let go of your past. Many peopledrag their past into their present, which stops them from ever having a clearvision of their future. Success is a process, not a payoff. You will pay your ten dollars at the door on your journey to success, and you will find out fast that there are no shortcuts. You will never be able to completely master every detail of your life. Attemptingto do so will only lead to frustration. What will make the most difference thoughis becoming the master of a few key principles that will allow you to have the fastest personal growth. To accomplish this task you will begin to think exponentially rather than incrementally.(THINK BIG - ACT BIG) You must have uncommon thoughts to have uncommonresults and a steady consistent plan of action.

What I have found in my twelve years of entrepreneurship is that very few people have a plan of action. "When you fail to plan, you are planning to fail." By "Plan of Action", what I am talking about is your goals down on paper wherethey are visible and you can get your hands on them to monitor your progress. You also have to have a very precise clear mental picture of where you are going on your journey to success.

Make your goals reachable and realistic, yet big enough that you have to stretch to reach them. Along with goal setting, I recommend that you have a daily plan of action (Method of Operation) in place that you work from daily. If you are part time, have down on paper exactly what you will do in the hours you commit to your enterprise. If you are full time do the same. Don't over-promise to yourself. Put down on paper exactly what it is that you will do in the time you devote toyour business. This will allow you to hold yourself accountable. Every night before you go to bed look over your daily method of operation and ask yourself how accountable you were to yourself today. Be consistent Practice The Slight Edge; baby steps each and every day. Consistent effort over a period of time over and over coupled with personal growth will create consistent results.

Our Business is not a numbers game or even "selling", rather, it is RELATIONSHIP BUILDING! No matter what business or enterprises in networking you are in, the most important aspect will be how well you can build relationships with people andmake them feel that you genuinely CARE about THEM…. NO AGENDA. In today's society, people are starved for recognition, caring and kindness. Give THAT to your Prospect and you will achieve more success than you know whatto do with, AND, your life will be enriched 100 fold! This process of success will happen when you take consistent action, let go of yourpast, feel good about you and continually work on your internal communication.

Make a commitment to YOURSELF as you continue your journey in to success in 2007!If you are SERIOUS about building your business, you will tap in to special tools available to you. Join or create your own MasterMind Group with other like-minded entrepreneurs. Napoleon Hill has many books that speak about MasterMind Groupsand their POWER. The Secret to Building and Maintaining Instant Relationships

My number one rule is Practice Abundance, Prosperity and KINDNESS, every day!

When I chat with a prospect or someone I meet on the street, I always LISTEN toWHAT and HOW they are expressing themselves. When you are prepared to LISTEN you find out much more about folks than they might reveal to you than if you keep on interrupting them. Why is that? People are frazzled and have hecticlives. They no longer have or develop communication skills and yet they are STARVED for a kind word, or for someone to just let them "chat away".

The SECRET is in the LISTENING.

Let the person know that you have HEARD them by repeating a simple phrase back to them, or changing the words around a bit. LISTENING is a lost art, and those of us who develop the TALENT for LISTENING are richly rewarded with developing many relationships. Compassionate Marketers have a truly remarkable advantage. YOUR team mates should be a closely knit family; one that is CARING and CONSIDERATE of people and their lives. People are searching for and yearning to live better, longer and more fruitful lives.

Are YOU listening?

Yes, people are frazzled and have hectic lives. Since most people no longer have developed communication skills they become STARVED for a kind word AND they are starved for someone caring enough to show them how they & their families might lead more healthful and rich lives. Pay attention! LISTENING and CARING will avail YOU the opportunity to create a bond with someone new, it gives you the blessing of being able to help them, simply by LISTENING.

It has been said that being able to develop relationships will put you on the road to success in ANY business. Listening and CARING about the other person are the seeds that will initiate and maintain those relationships, whether personal or business.

Start listening with a CARING ear, and you will be amazed at how your life suddenly overflows with people who want to BE WITH YOU or BE INVOLVED WITH YOUR BUSINESS.

Make sure that you Practice Abundance, Prosperity and kindness, EVERY DAY!

Communication skills are so very important, and most people do not take the time to develop or learn about communicating with others. The biggest part of communications IS listening, or Watching, or Feeling, but not with your ears or eyes, but with your heart!

TIPS: If you are physically with someone, then always Shake their hand firmly (but not hard) and say something like, "It is very nice to meet you" and be SURE to use their first name! ALWAYS look them straight in the eyes and put a big SMILE on your face. People always react positively to a smile. Always start a generic conversation with the person; perhaps about their family, pet or other subject—then LISTEN to them intently to get the cues you will need to know WHAT they WANT in their lives, what is MISSING in their lives, and how you MIGHT BEST HELP THEM achieve their goals. If you LISTEN carefully, all these things will be revealed.

Maintaining mini relationships is easy to do. Keep a file of your conversations, details such as family members, Life Cycle Events such as Birthdays, Graduations and Anniversaries, etc. and send a little NOTE or CARD to mark the occasion. THANK YOU notes are a must; it is a lost art and people will remember you for taking a moment to honor them. When I send out Thank You notes, I always include a packet or two of one of my products to let them know that I wish them health AND prosperity!

You might include a sample of your product or a coupon for your sevices With every contact you make, and ALWAYS refer back to something they related or mentioned to you in the last conversation. This ONE ACTION is worth its weight in Gold and signals that you CARE ABOUT and actually LISTEN to the person with whom you are speaking. Here is an example of how this works: Perhaps this person has Arthritisin their hands. I might ask them how their hands are feeling today. This might even be a perfect opportunity to ask if they "would like to do something about" the pain in their hands. I learned this simple and effective question from "Big Al" Tom Schreiter. Here's the best part; when they say "yes" it is an invitation to let them know about a a product that might help them.

If you are not physically with someone and calling them on the telephone or perhaps conversing on the computer, you may still open up a generic but thoughtful conversation. Again, LISTEN to what the other person is SHARING with you. They are handing you the keys to your success if you are listening with your heart. One more thing; Practice Abundance, Prosperity & Kindness EVERY DAY and you life will be blessed one thousand fold!
